Hi.
I am pretty happy that CCP is a company which is very much open to the community. We see devs replying to very many posts and suggestions of the community. But one thing I really miss are all the old-school devs e.g. Oveur.
Are they still around or is there a special case why they are not present anymore on the forums?

They're still around, but I imagine they're a bit busier than they were in the past. Also, whenever any dev says anything on the forums, it's met with half a dozen flames and threats, so they post a lot less in general, especially outside the Features and Ideas/Game Development forums. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79 |

The normal 'way things go' for a development firm such as CCP is the fact that devs eventually move up into more 'administrative' and management duties, which places more demand on their time. Personally, I would never want to move away from hands-on development and my current employer has offered me numberous management positions over the years - all of which I've turned down because it's just not my style. I'm a coder, and I love being a coder. Unfortunately, since most old school devs want to see CCP grow and succeed, they probably have taken more administrative duties, leaving the development to other programmers/devs.
That's my guess anyways.

Talking to us lot and getting ripped to shreds and flamed to death is probably done by the new guys - I mean would you voluntarily submit yourself to it? When new team members are taken on they are probably pushed into the firing line - foolishly enthusiastic no doubt - while the more seasoned members run for cover and take a well deserved breather.

I been thinking this since I got back & Iv lost my tinfoil hat & found strange ideas in my head. Like, there is another group of poeple whos leaders are also MIA.
