This is very true scams in game are ok ( by EULA ) but not character trading scams

OP said he and 2 other people were scammed and the perpetrator was selling his Character on the Character Bazaar. Precisely why I asked if this Scam broke the EULA. The OP never made mention to the fact that the scam was in fact related to Character Sales until after I asked. L2Read before you spill stupid all over my nice NeX Store Boots.

You would be surprised how many people yell about such things or don't realize Scaming and Character Cycling through the Bazaar is legit. But yeah Character Selling Scams through the Bazaar are rule breakers. I hope you get your ISK back.

So many soundbites and lack of care about their writing (Or is that there writing) that a number of people cannot communicate properly. I read the original post. It seemed like a reasonable question because when I read it, I saw: "3 of us has been scammed by a player who currently has a character on the character bazaar" Was this a scam involving the sale of a character? Is the fact that the player is on the character bazaar of interest? I don't know. The OP did not say enough or explain enough to be clear. In situations where things are not clear; people ask questions. I personally think you look like more of an idiot for your flippant one-liner than Alara does.

I understand that he might be a hacker but that does not mean you have to start the investigation there. You see the transactions to buy the characters and the posts, see that the character has been sold multiple times and you resend the isk to the buyers.. Then you start investigating the scammer, because it is quite clear that he is long gone with the isk and sold or what ever he does with it. Will see how long this takes, can't wait until fanfest for the round table discussion to address this and get some order in this... Not like there aren't any ways that could prevent scamming in character transactions like a npc recieving ISK and notifying the seller that he can start transfer and then mail a code or something to the NPC and recieve the isk instead. But good that CCP intends to improve the big things like warp graphics and stuff like that which does not nearly affect players as much as this.. This scamming business seems like a good way to get a quick buck with little as no response until 3 days later when 2 more have been scammed. I do fully realise that I am mostly to blame for attempting a deal to good to be true but that would not happen without scammers which obviously are getting a profit from this otherwise they would not be doing it. Sorry had to vent a little steam.

There MUST BE A DEFINITIVE log of the ISK changing hands, correct? With isk changing hands for nothing these accounts are left high and dry if they overextended themselves. While the axiom don't fly what you can't afford to lose holds true should the transitive property take effect in the character bazzar or the recruiting channel: don't spend ISK you can't afford not to have for x amount of days while CCP investigates in totality? I'm guessing the persons thought they could play immediately off the back to earn back some chunk of what they just spent... lesson learned the hard way. I was considering purchasing a character myself glad I've been forewarned in the forums and feel sorry for those that don't read these stories here...

Its a massive massive issue and inconvienience for the person being scammed. One has no character one has no isk, both pretty f*cked. Meanwhile its just sit and wait and wait and wait. CCP seriously need to step up their customer service, its pretty damn poor. But we say this for years and nothing changes, so you shouldnt expect it now. I really dont understand why CCP just have a handful of people doing this stuff, its basically that customer support is not a priority.

Yeah the smart thing to do would be for the GMs to immediately give characters and massive amounts of ISK to anyone who makes a noise on the forum without investigating until they know the whole story, and worry about consequences later.
