Anyone else seem to take a fps hit after the patch? My laptop seems to be getting close to 20fps less than before on the classic client.

Haven't had the chance to try it myself, but I would bugreport it. Attach a DXDIAG file and a screenshot with your FPS display on. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.1 |

I am also playing on a laptop and I noticed this as well, especially during warp.
This occurred last night, immediately after the patch, and I noticed that, for one, my Cache setting had been reset from "Low" to "Normal", so this may be one of the problems.
Secondly, when I attempted to logon last night, I was put into a queue, and received a notification that connections were being "throttled", so it's possible that it was a temporary issue to stop 40K+ users from all joining at once.
Once you change the Cache setting back to "Low" and logon again, I'm hopeful that it solves your problem.

Well my cache setting was on low and I haven't made a report yet because I want to see if others are getting it and it's not just me. I haven't really played on my desktop at home but I'm hoping I don't take fps hit since I run up to 3 accounts and it can get rocky as it is.

I have various frame rate changes.
In stations performance has improved. In some systems in space there is a slight drop. In other systems my frame rate has halved. Repeatable systems too. For example, merolles is a 'half frame rate system' whereas alentene is a 'slight drop system'. Alentene is actually a busier system. In all cases performance during warp is worse than when not warping, which is a first as generally warp performance was faster than non-warp flight.

If there's an FPS-during-warp issue, it sounds like the mechanism that switches between grids is bjorked, or prefetching the target grid isn't caching properly (hense setting it to "low" raises FPS).

I confirm that my notebook FPS droped aswell. I have now 20 FPS in open space with no other ships around. In the station my FPS are stable 60. My cache size is set to "low". Any help would be highly appreciated. --------------------------------------------- Skill is not a spec, nor on timer. |

Yep, same thing....fps cut in half. I'm using classic on my laptop and used to get around 35-40fps in space but after patch its around 15-20fps |

What helped me a bit is to turn off the "Dither" option in the graphics menu. I can't remember whether that option was enabled before, but it took away part of the slowness in space. FPS are still around 25. --------------------------------------------- Skill is not a spec, nor on timer. |

Prepatch, 50 FPS outside an empty station. Post patch, 12to 14. This is rediculous.
