Quote: Todays downtime is extended due to a hotfix. Due to issues discovered during QA dry-run we need to reverse a part of it. Because of this we estimate that Tranquility will be open for business at 14:00 GMT
Now, I know (along with most everyone else) that your customer services sucks donkeys, but really, one day, could you please (with the possibility of a cherry on top) just once, maybe, let people know you are going to break stuff, I mean fix stuff, in advance, not 5 minutes after downtime?
There I was, a 1 hour, 3 hour or 7 hour skill...I checked the in game messages, and on the forums and thought, yer I can do it, CCP can do it...1 hour 19 mins skill....
When will I learn

Originally by: Talon Rising I have been playing almost two months, and every single hotfix and patch is screwed up somehow by CCP for the stupidest reasons. In this case testers found a problem with the hotfix in what? 15 minutes? That's about how long the server was up. If they were able to find the problem that fast, why didn't they catch it on the test server? The hotfix was tested right?
In my experience, having worked as a software developer for 8 years when **** ups are this consistent the cause is almost always poor management. Whoever the person is who is managing developer resources, setting up processes, documenting procedures etc. needs to be replaced.

Originally by: Tarminic So what do people want - extended downtimes to fix some of the bugs or no extended downtimes and allowing the bugs to remain? Either way it's the same amount of whining.
Silly moo, it's extended downtime to fix the bugs caused by fixing the bugs in the extended downtime
