I have tried recording the events using the tool CCP provides.
However, when running Eve I have 3 times hit the blue screen of death - thankfully this is the first time that I have witnessed it in all it's glory, but still it is Eve that is causing it.
Not trying to whine here I just want some advice, have tried the previous suggestions and nothing happened, have reinstalled my OS and downloaded a fresh install of Eve - thus the fourth and fifth BSOD.
Might seem like an odd request, but can someone at CCP change my skill at the moment as I havent been able to get on in since the patch and I am noticably paying and losing skilltime..... help?

I'm guessing that you've already made sure that your drivers and OS have been completely up-to-date?
And how long has this been happening - since the 1.1 patch? ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.2 |

This has been going on since 1.1 yes - have run windows update to update that and drivers are also updated.
Not a true techy but thats the limit of my expertise at this end.

Honestly, I know this isn't exactly the solution you're looking for, but I would try installing either XP or Linux and running eve through there if you can. Also, have you filed bug reports about the BSODs? The bug hunters may be able to give you some better advice, or at least let you know if it's a known issue they're working on. ---------------- Tarminic - 33 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.2 |

Might be a total pain but it might be time to do a clean install of windows. Sounds to me like something is seriously broken
(lets face it windows does get that way - in fact all OS's do if you are honest - I even scrub and reinstall my mac's every couple of years)

How long do you think it would take for a fix? Anyone else have these problems?

Maybe its time you updated to a real pc from that commondore 64?
Jokes aside, that could be your RAM memory starting to bad. -------------------------------------- [Video]Skirmish Warfare |

It still sounds like it might be drivers - have you made a bug report to CCP? including details of hardware etc. Are you using anything odd (ie. uncommon sound card or graphics card?) or with very old drivers?

If you play with sound on, try disabeling it. Preferably directly in the first screen via the [esc] menu.
This may aleviate your issue.

Put down the BSOD error here. They usually contain a driver name that is the culprit. Or, a memory address indicating a possible memory problem.

A lot of the time, this may be the case. You may not be crashing when just using the PC for other Windows applications. But the moment you load up a game that nearly uses up all available RAM then it hits the bad spot and your computer reboots, BSOD or just plain freezes.
Run a program that checks for RAM problems. It may not be the problem but it is worth checking.

Yes, bug reports also filed, waiting on a response.
Reinstall, over the top of the exsisting installation, or did you uninstall and then reinstall? Myself I had an issue that wouldnt resolve itself, although not this patch, and to "fix" it I had to uninstall, manually hunt down files that the uninstall left behind, and then do a clean install after a reboot. --
