no idea what to select but try to get gallente frigate level 3 and as high spaceship command as possible. to be honest the hard slog is getting the hauler skill to level 5 so its best to choose your attributes carefully.

Linkage to list of all character creation career path alternatives
Though since none of them start with any industrial ship skills (the skill can't be trained on a trial account) you could choose any race and any career path.
Though if this is going to be a alt on your mains account, Caldari Achura with maxed Perception and Willpower attributes would probaley be the fastest. -

Tech, don't pay any attention to these monkeys. You might want to look into an application called EVE Mon to help plan your path. Note that due to the popularity of suicide squads you should look at training up skills for agility and shields as well as cloaks.

Gallente pilot basically. You just need to buy one skill and train it. I doubt you'll save so much time by going with another race that it'll matter.
Yeah, use evemon if you are really a stickler about time.

I disagree, the safest way by far to avoid suicide ganks is to not load up your hauler with stuff that makes it worth loseing a decent ship to kill, the second best way is to not use autopilot when hauling valuables, always WTZ.
Shield and navigation skills really won't help you, a stealthbomber can one-volly just about any iteron V setup, even some T1 cruiser setups can last long enough and deal enough damage before dieing to concord. -

I used to setup my Iteron Vs with a couple medium shield extenders and sheild hardeners. I could only use t1 shield equipment, as I'm gallente and don't ordinarily shield tank, but it fitted up to over 3000 shield HP with 60%ish resists. Substitute out one cargohold expander for a damage control and you should have around 10k effective HP, i'd wager. Nothing to write home about, but it should protect you from one, or even two, stealth bombers, as buy you a little time for CONCORD to arrive if a brutix attacks you.

If you are training Gallente Industrial 5 anyway, you may as well just train another hour and train for Transport ships. The tech II Transport ships are hardened far more than their tech I counterparts.

If you're going for transport ships, the Impel (amarran) might be better for hauling. It'll give more cargo space, if I remember correctly. more low slots for the expanders.
If you don't need the cargo space...well...there's no reason to train gallente, anyway, then, eh?

Edited by: Kneebone on 23/03/2008 01:25:26 Gally Military Soilder... You will be in an Iteron I in 40 minutes. After that use Eve Mon to plan to to the Mk 5. Should take you less then 30 days.
The Mk5 is the largest cargo hauler of all Industrials. It has a base 6,000m3 of space which gives the highest total bonus when you factor in the 25% cargo bonus from the skills and 5 low fittings for T2 expanders. Rig it out for even more.
