Hello all
Im on a tight budget at the time, and want to invest in a graphics card that can show me the 'new' graphics implented in Trinity. Right now im owning a ATI x800 pro card that dont generate the graphics. My computer should hold for a while still and i want to upgrade the graphics card at this moment, anyone that can recommend a fairly cheap alternative? To state it, it has to be an AGP card,
Cheers

Well thats pretty surprising that the ati x800pro wont run it, I had that very same card, and it is a wonderful piece of hardware, however mine was PCI which might be the problem. But to answer your question, I recently bought a ATI Radeon x1600 from newegg.com and it has some serious bang for the buck too. mine cost me about $120 USD, which is pretty cheap to be honest. However again, its a PCI card, not AGP.
To be honest, I think you should concentrate on getting a new computer, or at least a new motherboard, because if your still running AGP cards, your two generations behind, and thats not good. There are only so many AGP cards out there because hardly anyone uses them anymore.

Well, thats basically the same card I have, so theoretically you shouldn't have a problem, because I run premium graphics just fine. But if its AGP I just don't know. I don't know how all that stuff works. Thats what I was trying to point out to you. My other video card was what you have now, and it ran fin as well, altho it was not AGP.

Yeah, i understood you the first time, didnt mean no harm :) Think ill go for the agp card anyway, will have to work as a substitute. Hopefully that will support the shaders etc needed for the premium graphics.

I have on on my HTPC downstairs and works great with EVE premium at 1920x1080 on my TV. The only problem you have to edit the installer if you want to use the Catalyst 8.3 drivers.
Set me back a shade over ú50.
