Some people have been having FPS issues, turning them into whiney *****es. Some people have been having issues with nano ships, turning them into whiney *****es. Some people have been having issues with the overview, turning them into whiney *****es. Some people were already whiny *****es.

When was it less whiny? Honestly it feels the same in the two years I been reading, just new names and beefs.

That comparison fails epically.
why is that?
Because the source of smoke, by definition, must be a fire of some kind.
You are, by using that comparison, suggesting that every dissatisfied post of any kind must, by definition, result from a valid issue. If you believe this then you need professional help. ---------------- Tarminic - 34 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.3 (Updated 3/24) |

By you reasoning, a new player gets killed because he was on Auto pilot in low sec so auto pilot and low sec are broken...?
I don't think that is right, so there is no fire unless you can prove the smoke you ae seeing actually is being generate by a fire... --------------------

Which is why he used the word usually.

And please get some more buzzwords to mix it up with other than "epic" and all of its derivatives especially "fails epically".

If he's making that comparison that means that at the very least the majority of dissatisfied posts arise from a valid issue. I don't think that's very accurate.
EDIT: And assuming that even, you would have to assume that the forums reflect an even distribution of EVE players, which isn't true either. People post about things they're dissatisfied with much more than they post things that they're satisfied with. ---------------- Tarminic - 34 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.79.3 (Updated 3/24) |

This is true, In my old corp, only 6 members visited the forums regularly, the rest only browsed to view information. Even then out of the 6 only 3 said that they posted regularly, and one of those 3 was me... --------------------

A lot of people will never visit a company's forums unless or until there is a problem, real, or perceived . It's hard to argue against that for all of the fluff and goodies that work from the last patch, there were also a lot of problems introduced.
The comparison he was making is not unlike Occam's Razor's in it is a simple observation that where there are people complaining more so than usual, they likely have something (real or perceived) to complain about.
Making this assumption is not such a leap given CCP's track record with downtimes, lag, nerfs, and etc.

Haven's seen an Amarr whine in awhile, so that's good.
Forums are always full of whines to be honest. I for one imagine the devs leaning back in their chairs and thinking "Yeah well, maybe you dorks shouldn't be doing stupid stuff" and laughing at all the whiners. Oh yes....

Sure, not EVERY complaint is valid but if you combine them altogether there are some basic complaints and whines people have which absolutely make sense. I think hopefully that is the good that comes from all the whiny threads, that CCP will get the meaningful arguments out of them and not simply closes everything without reading them.
