Not whining here just wondering...
I think the principle behind using a wardec is when you have a beef against some other corp/alliance: they are mining in your territory or interfering with your trade routes, etc.
On the other hand we have these privateer wannabes issuing wardecs against every corp/alliance in turns. As soon as the wardec expires they just wardec somebody else, kinda probing which corp/alliance will yield the easiest targets or whatever. Why is this?
Is it easier to just renew wardec against same corp or go to next one in the list?

Privs have been doing that forever. In fact it was their activities in Empire that caused the big Wardec nerf some time back.
I think at least part of the time, it isnt Privs choosing who to Dec, it's other Corps paying them the isk needed to Dec folks.

I might be a little bias, but it's not an issue at all.
This game is all about free will. They have free reign to dec you, you have free reign to fight back / hire a merc corp / stay docked / negotiate surrender terms.
A wardec can be for anything from "He stole from me, destroyed my ship, kidnapped my dog, and threw urine in my grandmothers face" to "His avatar looks stupid."
Welcome. Please enjoy your stay.
--- AleRiperKilt: There are 5000 systems with a current record of about 45000 players. Doing some intense number crunching, I come up with a 9 player per system average if players migrated away from eachother instead of towards. Move out of Jita. Thanks.

Only thing missing in the war declaration system is a means for the wardecced corp to counter the wardec. I have a tug of war in mind where both corps (or alliances) throw ISK at each other until one side gets bored (and CONCORD filthy rich).
It'd go like this: WAR ! (1 mil) PEACE ! (2 mil) WAR ! (4 mil) PEACE ! (8 mil) WAR ! (16 mil) PEACE ! (32 mil) WAR ! (64 mil) ...etc.
I mean, it's a capitalist world after all, so buying yourself out of a legal war should be possible. Besides, it'd be a terrific ISK sink. -------- Ideas for: Mining Clouds

That's my point. I could wardec your corp because you are flaming me in your sig (nice try, btw) but my beef would be against you and that's what wardecs should be for... to sort out unfinished business between parties.
Now a corp declaring war on different corps every week looks kinda suspicious on their motives... do they just hate everybody?

Sounds interesting but this would incentive wardec shopping even more. I think if you have a beef with some other corp you should be able to keep the wardec against them for as long as you like.
I'm thinking on a way to make war declarations something to be taken seriously, for example instead of declaring the war invalid for no payment, Concord should penalize the declaring party so hard, the only cheap way out should be to negotiate a surrender.
Just an idea... flame away

No there is not, as soon as you show up with something to give them anything close to a fair fight they run to their stations screaming mommy.
Just ask the red versus blue guys what happens after they run a purple op...
btw: I will be back this weekend, I guess it would be Red this time (US timezone)

Try bringing something to tackle with? In EVE, everyone PVPs. You're either predator or prey. Choose carefully. |

I think CCP should hire three elderly women to personally manage this. Every time a war is declared, CCP could place the wardec reason in front of them, and they could evaluate it.
"It certainly is a big wardec." "It's a very big wardec." "Big fluffy wardec." "It's a very big fluffy... wardec."
"Where's the beef?"
