Currently I started running level 4's too take a break from 0.0. It's easy in my armageddon but doesn't run along to smoothly and I think it could be fixed with using beams instead of pulses? currently this is my setup:
7 x Dual Heavy Modulated Pulse Laser w/ Multi, Ultra, Radio 1 x Heavy Nosferatu I
1 x Afterburner 100mn II 1 x Heavy Cap Booster II w/ 800's ( Very rarely i need to use this ) 1 x Cap Recharger II
2 x Large Armor Repair 1 x Damage Control II 3 x Active Hardeners (mission specific) 2 x Capacitor Power Relay
3 x CCC I
I can tank anything without a problem so far so that is not the issue. So far I let my drones kill all small **** while I use my Afterburner too get in range for the Battleships too kill them. Should I put on Beams instead and just be the sitting duck and shoot down BSs? Would that go faster or is my setup ok?

Edited by: Eneela M on 28/03/2008 17:15:31 you need more damage imo, I'd try something like this:
7x modulated megapulse with faction crystals 3x cap recharger II 1x LAR II, 4x mission specific hardner, 2x heat sink II, 1x beta cap relay
rigs: 2x aux nano, 1x nano pump
The range problem you are having is because you're using dual pulse, megapulse with ranged crystals work fine for BS.

[Armageddon, Missionrunner sansha] 2xLarge Armor Repairer II Armor EM Hardener II 2xArmor Thermic Hardener II 2xHeat Sink II Capacitor Power Relay II
3xCap Recharger II
7xDual Heavy Beam Laser II, Multifrequency L Small Tractor Beam I
3xCapacitor Control Circuit I Ogre II x5
Quite effective at all ranges. Obliterate frigates at long range and then deal with heavier ships close up. With good skills and a few implants it deals 700dps at 50km with ultraviolet crystals (increasing to a maximum of about 800 at 30). With microwaves you can reach out with good effect up to maximum locking range at 80km. The tractor beam is nice have when prepping things for salvaging. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. Im going to jump into a armageddon soon for doing lvl 4:s however it will be my first BS and i only have Amarr Battleship at lvl 4 and also that with Large Energy Turrets so it will mostly be a T1 setup. Anyone have any good ideas on a good setup for a T1 mission running armageddon? ----------------------------------------------------------------------

If this will be your first BS, I suggest you may want to use an Apoc. The extra cap always makes me more comfortable.
Amarr is the tank OR gank race. Not the tank and gank race. |

...Plus the extra armor buffer and ability to use megapulse+Dual-LAR. ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. It's given freely, and only grudgingly retracted when necessary. |

I disagree
7x mega Pulse II 3x cap recharger II LAR II MAR II 4x racial hardners either 1 heat sink II and 1 power relay II or 2x HSII's
with the Cap stable setup I have 640 dps with Multifeqs using 2 heat sinks I get 760 dps before drones Also even just running the large with 4 hardners you can tank most lvl 4's espcially sansha/blood

You're fitting modulated pulse, so I'll take it you can't fit MP2's. On a mission Armageddon, you'll be missing some range if you can't use scorch. You can AB into range, but end up wasting a lot of time if you try that. And you don't wanna think aobut salvaging those wrecks strung 30km apart . . .
On the other hand, fitting beams is dropping some of your damage, which is what a (to me) good Geddon fit is all about. I would go with beams until you can fit mp2's, or change to the Apoc and fit the modulated pulses.

So does CCP Zulupark :-) I'll consider his statement to be a design goal until it starts working out that way in the game. though.
"The Amarr are the tanking and ganking floating rods of gold. While the Minmatar are versatile and the Caldari do electronic warfare the Amarr simply sit there and charge their lasers, secure in their knowledge that God is on their side."

I use:
7 MegaPulses II's 3 cap rechargers II 1 LAR II + 1 MAR II + 4 specific hardeners + 2 HS II
rigs: 3 x CCC's
