Edited by: Xeriuz on 31/03/2008 22:49:38 i sometime get the white screen of death out of the blue and somethime i start a client.
also when i have started 1 client and been ingame for maybe 5-10 min or more and then i need the 2nd clien for the 2nd account i get "send an error to windows" messages, its work if i close the first client and open them both at the same time or with in 5 sec or something. and after getting 2 account running the same problem happens with the 3rd account.
with the white screen is horrible lag and sometime it just goes away.
my 2 cents

Exact same problem. Heard a lot of talk about this, but have yet to see a fix posted anywhere. http://axegang.kicks-ass.netPlease visit your user settings to re-enable images.[/url] |

I had this problem, switch to full screen/24 bit, then back to whatever you were using at the time.... fixed it for me Please visit your user settings to re-enable images. |

I fixed my problem by setting Interval: one
This helped me, but I've seen that some people get nothing out of it. so try all options in there.
Also, go to your graphic card setting and disable Antialiasing, it isn't used in EVE

Edited by: Jack Creme on 02/04/2008 11:58:05 Edited by: Jack Creme on 02/04/2008 11:57:47 I now always get this when running 2 clients after the boost patch. It seems to clear if I fiddle with full-screen/cache/present Interval settings - although I'm not sure whether any one or all of these is clearing the white screen or even whether its merely coincidence.

Likewise, just to add another name to the list, I've had the issue occasionally since the last patch with more than 1 client running.
8800GTS graphics card.
Have set "interval one", will post of I get the White Screen Of Death again.

Yea I'm also getting this bug...and it's really starting to **** me off! so much so I'm thinking about selling my account's. Because I can not play like this, I can not use my account's like I should be able to. Before the new gfx it was working fine 2 accounts logged at the same time and it was fine! now is completly messed up! You would think because CCP are offering "the power of two" they would fix the said problem. This problem has been going on long enough!
So what is CCP going to do about this bug! it did'nt happen before the patch, CCP care to respond?

Edited by: Jack Creme on 07/04/2008 11:23:18 Aye, well it is one of the, if not the only, most frustrating 'bugs' I've ever encountered in 4 years of Eve. I'm still not sure about whether changing the Interval setting is effective at clearing the White Screen of Death (WSOD). Or anything else for that matter. BTW, you seem to need to have exactly the same graphic settings on both clients ie setting the Interval to 1 must be done on both clients. I have noticed though, that the GPU temperature rises to much higher levels than it did before - I noted 75 deg C the last time the WSOD occurred. I'm now using an external fan to aid cooling but I'll need to see if this is relevant. Thinking more about this... If I run Logserver will it show anything if its related to the PC's graphic card? After all, everything works correctly in the game but with a WSOD the lag is appalling and impossible to play or use the game. Also, is the Log server any use with 2 clients? Do I have to run it on both? Has anyone run the logserver whilst experiencing this fault? Finally, another thing to note is that if you quit the client that has the WSOD problem and then re-start it, the fault is still there. Again I haven't seen if that is repeated after leaving the faulty client for a period of time. When you do try and re-start it, however, the 'running' client goes ballistic - screen flickers continuously, locks up and the 2nd client takes many minutes to start. Its usually best to quit the remaining running client and re-boot the PC altogether. Terrible way to get back to the game.

I used to run 3 clients at one time on my Athlon 3800 Dual Core PC with a Geforce6600 (basic card supplied with PC ). After the "booster patch" I was able to only run 2 clients and even then sometimes the second would then end up lagging badly (2fps) and have the WSOD. I tried running them with Interval one/Intermediate and combinations and it didn't seem to matter much.
I tried running logserver tho with 2 clients running it seemed to get confused and didn't log anything.
Eventually it got to the point where I was only able to run one instance ... running a second meant both ran ok for a few minutes though then the graphics card would seem to just shut down. My G15 keyboard LCD display showed that Windows (XP Pro) was still running ok and shutting down and restarting worked for a cople of days till my graphics card seemed to die totally .. nice hot chips inside ... thanks EVE.
Now that PC's out of action and I'm struggling along on a Celeron 2.6GHz with 512MB Ram and a Geforce 6800that used to run 2 clients though now finds that a struggle ... ah progress

There's a thread on this subject, with a dev asking for system info from players suffering from the WSoD: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=725220
Go put your comp info there if you haven't already, more data helps them track the bug down faster (and while I'm wishing, I'd like a pony and a sack of gold).
