That's cause they're too busy drinking beer in celebration of a 100% successful expansion. (complete sarcasm) 100% complete failure more like it.
Lag is so bad in systems with 1-2 peeps in it, it's almost impossible to play. And no, it's not my system. My system hasn't changed in 2 months but their client has... for the worst. |

My ram go from 25% to 90%+ over time and eventually crashes the vid cards drivers.
Doesnt happend on other games. |

So I and others have been pulling our hair out trying various fixes for the screen lockup when it is the memory leak issue perhaps causing it? Sweet. |

I got a problem with the game client. I launch the game client and it appears on the bar on the bottom of the screen saying its running and you hear the game music playing. That's it. The client won't appear on screen and let me interact with it or anything else. Any help with this would be great. I got a skill I gotta change soon. |

ever since the new patch i keep crashing when undocking and approaching gates, it took me 10 mins to jump thru one gate, i havent had this problem for a long time so i think its from this new patch. am now getting very fed up

I have the same issue, I basically can't autopilot any more. It used to happen occasionally (once every couple of days), but really got bad after QR was released. Now I crash very often approaching stargates.

I have the same problem. Well, I start EVE, it shows the Quantum Rise logo but when it goes fullscreen all I see is black. I can alt-tab out. Tried removing settings and cache.. now I get to see the EVE mouse pointer for a second before it goes to black, and music too (I had music off).
ETA: Valkorie, if Sen Roo's problem is the same as mine, you can't even get to the login screen. Have to delete cache and such manually.

OK, after a month of playing, here's a quick list of extremely annoying but admittedly minor bugs, right off the top of my head: - Pinned windows are forced out of position by unpinned windows during session changes. In what universe does this make any sense? Why call them "pinned" if they move all over the place? - Info windows and other "browser" windows lose their forward and back controls when stacked. This makes it very difficult to do comparisons (and don't get me started on the comparison tool or I'll start ranting about why you can't drag-and-drop new module types into the tool to actually, you know, compare them).

Hmm, the largest topic in the issues forum is the Socket Closed issue and yet it appears no where in the "Known Issues" thread. Does that mean CCP does not consider it an issue when their customers are making it the largest issue? Does it mean CCP really doesn't give a damn? OR does it mean CCP doesn't really read the issues forum? |

so where is the VPU lockup when seeing gate fire problem?

It may not be that they don't care, it may be simply an inability to replicate the bug. Going through the socket closed thread there is a lack of consistency regarding the problem. Some people started having the problems early on, some later. For some people its an intermittent problem, for some of us its meant we haven't been able to log in for 3 weeks. Some people have posted solutions that may work for them but dont work for others. Don't get me wrong, I'm frustrated as all heck because I really really want to be able to play right now, but like the everyone else there's not much more I can do until CCP figures out what the problem is.

Other than the anecdotal stuff people are posting about, every individual that has posted their pingplotter stats all show the same thing: regardless of their location on the globe, there is a big black hole the hop before the server. It's so bad, the IP doesn't even register. It's that much of a dead end.
Maybe because CCP considers it a connectivity issue, even if it is at their doorstep, it's something they don't need to address. But I wish someone would just come out and say so.
I'd have more respect if CCP just came out and said, "SO SOLLY, YOU OUTTA RUCK, GI!" than simply ignoring it and telling us to contact our ISP.

I fly a hic in syndicate but when I put up my bubble *without script* I cannot see it. I cannot see other hic's bubbles either. I can see the bubble produced buy anchoring warp disruption bubbles, and bubbles produced by a interdictor's warp disruption probe. I have all my effects turned on except the LOD setting and I have turned on all my brackets. Then restarted the clint but the problem was not resolved. I have searched the forms of both eve-online and battle clinic and found nothing as well as the help channel in game. This is a large problem for me because when fighting in 0.0 or even moveing I need to know if a hic has a bubble up when looking at one on gate. So if anyone know how to fix this it would be a huge help to me.
PS. other people can see my bubble when it is up, and I fly a onyx

Sound effects for missiles continues to play until session change if player uses fof missiles.
Very annoying. Bug reported twice. Response that it is known about.
Still not on the known issues page.
Are fof's still broken with regard to repping "agro" ? dunno about that one, but fof's are very broken atm. |

I've been having some consistent issues since I started playing, for about 7 months or so now. I'm using all Nvidia and intel hardware, save the hard drive and OCZ ram. What does work is using 2 accounts at the same time, and the gameplay itself is wonderful. However there are some problems that are unavoidable:
-2nd account on single screen computer has a skippy fps, ranging from 80-120. On the first account it consistently runs at 110 fps.
-sometimes in containers or stations my items get shoved out of the window and the only way to make them reappear is to use the middle scroll wheel or to sort the container.
-When docking or jumping sometimes I have to give the command multiple times whether I am within range or not to get it to perform the action, but this issue doesn't happen with acceleration gates nor warping.
-Rarely the client locks for about 10 seconds then in the 3d viewing window in space is replaced with a gray screen. Zooming out or zooming in or rotating the window fixes this problem, but zooming out back to the spot where the gray screen is will make it reappear until I clear my cache. It happens every other week or so, an I think its related to light rendering of stars.
-Often my drones (especially heavy drones) will fly and attack enemies that haven't aggro'd yet, resulting in their immediate demise because of lack of speed. Also, they will attack enemies far, far outside my drone control range. Without a drone link, I have about 40km drone control range. I had a set of warrior II's fly out 120km to some battleships and get nuked. However, there was an abundant supply of frigates attacking me at <5km that they could have attacked.
-Any key option for using voice chat other than middle click will put letters or keys into the chat box, or will disrupt an action that I am doing. I am forced to use middle click, which can quickly get the finger tired, especially when streaming music to friends. An option for sound-activated transmission would be awesome.
-If I have drones out when I warp, I can still see them in my overview and can even control them and get them to return to drone bay, however it would obviously take them quite awhile to go 14.8 AU. Their distance says 14.8 AU or whatever actual distance I am away from them. I can also see what damage they are taking.

I cant log in my character because im not docked it just stays at logging in as DROLAK in the character selection and doesent load any further than the end of the bar.but my characters that are docked can log in and it doesent go through wat station or system im in.please fix this problem because i wont be training a skill for a long time if you dont.

I'm guessing you are running with the graphics set to "Interval Immediate". There is no point having a frame rate above what your monitor can support (you wont see the extra frames lol) and I doubt you are getting a monitor refresh rate above 80. Try setting "Interval Default" or "Interval 1". This (I think) limits the framerate to your monitor refresh and may allow the clients to run a bit smoother.
Its beyond me why CCP dont set this as the default....

I've got the same problem over and over. It fixes itself sometimes but i got this problem again and again. Any info about this?

Bugs i found since Apoc update -
* - When in contracts showing info on players makes the info page spam the entire screen and only way to rid yourself is to hit escape and close down all the pinned windows * - Items in Search fields end up stating exact amount of jumps no matter how close or far the system actually is. * - When firing FoF heavy missiles the sound repeats even after the missile module has deactivated only way to stop the sound playing is to dock up in a station... very annoying * - Insane amounts of lag during Euro peak hours.. but is it a bug? meh....

Not a priority issue, but I don't think I've seen it mentioned elsewhere.
I've been looking at the new visual effects, and must say I am impressed...
However, there seems to be an issue with the animation sequencing or something, as they'll seem to abruptly go between looking barely active to fully active. If this is a reactionary thing to, say, weapon impacts or such, I suppose I could understand, but it just seems a bit too 'jerky'. This applies to pretty much all module animations except weapons, from what I can tell. My shield reppers sometimes have a jerky animation, and I know armor and shield tanking modules have a jerky animation- I'd be looking at a Serpentis Megathron, and the armor repair patterns would jump around at times, disrupting the otherwise smooth animation. My shield boosters and hardeners also seem to alternate rather abruptly between animation stages, as well, but in a less noticable manner.
I figure this will take a few patches before it's a priority, though, as there are alot more important issues to fix. But it does need to be fixed eventually. ---- "Sounds like a bad case of pikal envy, if you ask me."
Chief Engineering Officer - got the tools to fix your problems. Out here in the Black, you need all the fixing you can get. |
