How many capships are still in Empire space?

Sorry, meant hi-sec. Should have been clearer.
Only 3-4 caps, hmmm? I'm surprised there aren't more. ------ "When in doubt, aim for the crotch." "There's no problem that the application of suitable firepower cannot fix."

At the time, there was no point in letting it stay in highsec. For most people - even more so at the time, a capital is an investment. Hence they want to make use of it. When everyone could build their own caps in highsec, what was special about it?
And even past the removal of highsec production - some consider a bil or two used to be more valuable than one docked. For some odd reason. Then again, I expect Chribbas to have regained it's value a few times over by now.

Rumour has it if you get a capital reimbursed to you when you're in a highsec station, the capital joins you in that station.

Some guy had his thanatos out in nonni the other day. I forget the name he was just sitting on a stargate with it though. I think that if a capital ship kills you in high security it's petitionable.

Forgive me for being a bit of a noob- why were capitals not allowed in the first place? Because concord cannot handle killing off capitals or because you need so many of em the node would just crash?
Then why were there those capitals mentioned in high sec in the first place? Why was Chribba allowed his cap there and how does it make him rich?

Concord can kill anything. I think it's because they could gank someone then Cyno out before Concord got em. ---- In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Addams |

i was on the test server the other day and got a few freighters concorded. lets just say they go down fast (okay so it doesnt have the armor/shield hp of a dread/carrier, but concord hits for a few thousand each hit and drains your cap very fast. so lasting more than a few seconds is rather undo able.
and i would think chribba makes more isk from other activities than mining with 3 lasers, although a cargo expanded dread makes for a great hauler

rom what I understand when capital construction arrays were first introduced they could be anchored in high sec, and so not long after CCP changed it so they couldn't as it was a mistake(mainly because cynos aren't allowed in high sec so no capitals can get into it normally), so they all got removed but the capitals that had been built in high sec weren't. So the cpas that were in high sec were either stuck if no low sec systems were within jump range, jumped to low sec, or stayed around for fun.
And i'm guessing they're not allowed in high sec because of the ganking tactics possible and the fact they could just cyno out.

Actually, you could anchor the arrays in highsec, and long after the possibility to anchor the arrays was suspended, already anchored arrays were allowed to exist. The removal of those arrays more or less coincided with the introduction of the Rorqual. Before that, if you were in the right corp, you COULD build capital ships in highsec.

I think you two are talking about different arrays, capital arrays have never been able to be anchored in above 0.0 while Large arrays was anchorable up to 0.7 for a while.

Yup, and "capital arrays" are needed for supercaps, while "large arrays" (the ones I was talking about) could build dreads and carriers... right ?

Very few have been offered for sale in the past year; only two that I know of. That seems strange for an expensive, nearly useless asset, unless they are quite rare. Potentially there are dozens of caps in high-sec, but I don't think so.
I'd love to know how many are still around.
I can confirm a Moros is still in Aramachi.

It might be possible to get a wyvern into highsec on singularity. There have been instances where Jita was declared nullsec so people would come and join the stresstest. You could also jump in capitals. If this happens again, you can jump in a wyvern, log and wait for jita to be highsec again. Then log back on, attack some sentry and wait for concord to join the fun.
I have told that the DPS concord dishes out grows steadily until you die eventually. It'll probably take alot of time though... There is a video somehwere where a moros tanks concord for quite some time...

right, but what you quoted was referring to a wyvern
and the wyvern would last about 30 seconds maybe? cap gone, hmm maybe 45 seconds with that giant shield buffer
and you should check the date of the video of the guy tanking concord Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.

I managed to do a small amount of a siege cycle against concord in a Revelation on the test server, then something happened and I was instapopped.
The logs? They showed nothing, I think CCP could have added a script to instapop agressing empire caps.

EmpiresMOD [EMP] owns them. I left that corp a pretty long while back, but IIRC both the Moros and the Phoenix belonged to Chimeitekina Chikara as well as a Thanatos (all in Aramachi) belongs to Recalescence. I think both Chime and Recal belong to the same person.
