Yup you guessed it... "The foundation of EVE is built upon.... ROAD SIGNS!!!"
And other types of ****, my sig spawned from this where a rather rare graphical glitch causes my EVE to mess up completly, but in the madness of it all gives you some rather cool looking picture to figure stuff out from.. sort of a game in itself..
First off the road signs..
Pic 1
As you can see, EVE was intentionally ment as Learn to Drive game.. But CCP thought scrap that lets make a space game and pew pew instead... Each time my guns fired I got the signs showing up.. STOP was the one I could make out the most, but sack that I had aggro, i'm keeping my guns blazing
Pic 2
The second one is the same as the first, but has a further distance as it followed my rocket until it exploded. it also shows a few other glitches in the game graphics...
This one messed up completly, and I'm not sure how to describe it, other than utter chaos.. If you look closely you can see a little rifter on each of the module slots.. and belive or not, they turned exactly the same as my ship did.. So even while looking at what modules to switch on and off, I knew which direction my ship was goin in..
And last but not least.. EVERYONE want's a Rifter like mine (was)
Yeah the....
Bumble Bee From HELL!!! *Your PC starts to shake*
Just thought i'd show you my experiences, and that' even though it messes my screen up completly until I minimize out an back in again... It's still rather fun to see what it throws at me...

Me thinks the two of you have one of two problems.
1. Driver problems. 2. Video card is giving up the ghost.

The problem is... This ONLY happens in EVE.... COD4, UT3 - these games take my comp to the max run at full GFX with no problems at all, I can spend hours at a time playing both and not even a pause happens...
But saying that, there's lag... drop outs and all other dodgey **** happening with EVE, makes me wonder how this game is still alive...
BTW please no more people saying my comps on it's way out, because it's obviously not.. I come into this thread with high spirits, please don't make this into a technical discussion ------------------

1. update the graphicdrivers and update DX 2. is the the graphiccard correct in the port 3. look after the van and dust 4. is the power ok 5. look after the heat
After this, its some problems with the hardware. Had the same problems 8 month ago. At the end i had to get a new card. Now it work fine.

Where can I buy those psychedelic gfx cards you got there? --
There are countless games in the world. There are at least as many ppl that dont like one or more rules of said games. That never stopped smart game designers from creating good games.

Please, no! If the Goons get their hands on these rifters it'll be the end of universe as we know it. Please visit your user settings to re-enable images. |

Obviously it is. Dont come to the forums post screenies of your clapped out computer and then try to say eve is knackered when someone points out to you that its probably a hardware problem. If thats a snap shot of the condition of your PC then its no wonder that your having drop outs. Please dont make this into a technical discussion? people are trying to help you, we're not 6 year olds who are going fill a thread saying how cool and uber the pictures are, we're going to point out to you that there is something wrong with your Graphics card or drivers. I typed This with my nose! |

Maybe it doesn't happen to you, but drop out are caused by your connection an sometimes the server connections.... Yeah I appriciate the help, but this was created in General Discussion, I didn't create it here only to be moved to the technical part of the forum where only tech heads, possibly likey ourself just browse..
Oh and if I made it out as if it's EVE's fault, do you wonder why?? It aint exactly the mother of all stable MMO's is it??.. But that's not really the point.. I don't give two ****'s whether my comp is knackerd or not, it runs the games I want to play just perfectly.. But it seems to be EVE has problems with it..
There wasn't a single part of my OP, that I said I would like help on how to fix this problem, it only happens when I had windows open in the background, once I minimize close windows an open EVE back up it's back to normal, no other game I play gives me this experience..
But for the people that are trying to help, I thank you, I'm sorry for the previous post... Does that make it better??? I doubt it, listen.......
I've been up all night, and am ready to stay up all day to get my sleeping pattern back to normal, you probably don't give a ****, but that explains my ranting... ------------------

I think you need to take out your EvE Cartridge and blow across the connectors. If that doesn't work, try some rubbing alcohol on a q-tip.

I get this problem too. I'll be flying around and I'll be all "I'm gonna shoot this guy right here" and then EVE goes "NO YOU AINT HAVE THIS 10 SECOND FREEZE" and then the sun is a giant yellow cube and my ship is a redex and my HUD is spewing demonic ooze out of my monitor and onto my desk.
Also sometimes stations explode into triangles and stab my ship.
