Just fitting out a crow for solo work hopefully, just need advice about my proposed setup.
Highs:3xstandard II missile launchers Mids:1x 1 gistii b-Mwd,warp disputor II Lows:3x t2 ods Rigs:2x aux thrusters
Was just going to use aux thrusters until I got the hang of flying an unty solo, then switch to polycarbons, questions is what kind of speed can I acheive without polys? also have the full +3 speed implants set plugged in.Also need advice about what to put in that last med-slot was thinking about a faction web of some kind, and what faction disputor is worth spending my cash on,could get a cald navy one,but not sure.

1x Gisti A Type 1MN MWD 1x Republic Fleet / Domination Warp Disruptor 1x Republic Fleet / Domination Stasis Webifier
3x Republic Fleet / Caldari Navy Overdrive Injectors
2x Polycarbon Engine Housing II
And to everyone else: if this person has a full highgrade snake set in his face already and is on about faction this and faction that, no, my suggested setup is not out of the realm of possibility.
With boosters, maxed skills and implants etc you'll go over 50km/sec on overload. -- Ralara / Ralarina |

Remeber, rigs stack, so if you're using 2x aux rigs, I'd suggest using 1, maybe 2 Nano IIs instead of those ODs, giving you much better agility, acceleration, and slightly better top speed.

you would have been better served using the money from thos snakes to invest in a faction web because no matter how fast you go without a web you wont kill any ceptor going over 5km. there isn't much of an advantage going 10km/s vs 7km/s unless its for running away.
3x t2 standards(precisions are worth it)1x 150mm ac(extra 20dps when fighting similar setup crows)
t2mwd/disruptor/web(faction if possible)
2x od(1nano, 1 od if using aux rigs)
2x polys
=8500 with rogues and 6700 with precisions loaded) and be rady to spend about 300 jumps trying to find something to kill solo haulers/ceptors/t1 frigs/bad t1 cruisers. and every second hostile you see will be a rapier.

No offence since when caldari navy has overdrives?I think you were thinking Domination while writing caldari navy?

I went nuts and pimped my Crow with shiny gear but generally I fit it with t2 so losses don't hurt so much. A tricked out crow still fears the same ships as a t2 crow but has more margin for error at the cost of hurting more when it does go pop (and being a pvp ship, it WILL eventually go pop).
3 x 'Arbalest' Standard Launchers (The only expense for this setup) 1 x MWD II 1 x Disruptor II 1 x Small Extender II (Being in web range is bad and this gives you a few more incoming hits before needing to bail) 2 x OD II 1 x Nano II
You orbit at 20km and turn launchers on. You run from destroyers, beamsaders, matari recons, curse's, harpies and battleships with neuts. You fly manually and DAMN carefully against 'ranis pilots. Everything else is yours if you can break its tank. "I got soul but I'm not a soldier" |

in general web range is bad but for getting a faster ceptor, claw/crusader etc.. off your but or killing them ie orbiting a crusader at 500 with mwd/web ,if he is fitted for long range he wont be able to track you . its also nice to have for hauler killing.

First off, I never said I had snakes, I said the basic +3 implant speed setsame goes for 1x Gisti A Type 1MN MWD,both are too expensive for my tastes.I was asking about faction gear as I havent bought much faction gear until now,so well I'm uncertain just what is worth spending money on.

Crow for solowork?
3x DG launchers with DG missiles (more dmg then CN)
gistii a-type mwd domi web and disruptor
2x domi overdrives 1x ESTAMELS bcu
2x polycarbons II
A corpmate(not this char) of mine is flying that exact setup and has many solo bs/bc kills in his crow (wtf carebears on 0.0...). He ofcourse also has a maxed out Snake clone to go with that. Everything runs indefinatly and since the crow has a long targeting range this is probably the best possible frig/frigsetup you can fly in game.

I always go in more for i-stabs than OD's.
Once I've gone past 10km/s straight line speed with any ceptor I always start to work more on cornering. I'm not sure how much this actually helps but it seems to work just as well and for me is more fun to fly.
