Edited by: FeralShadow on 09/04/2008 18:19:16 I'm writing this to let all you guys at CCP know that there are a lot of us out there who truly appreciate what you guys are doing. Let me outline some reasons why:
Sure, there are bugs. But honestly, this game is so complex that when adding code, how can you not botch something up? That's the price you pay when there are so many options and things for the users, from the market system to the fighting system. With such an incredibly complex coding structure, how can something NOT be botched up? Some people whine and moan when there are bugs, but for the most part, they are taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. For that, we thank you.
We also thank you for the incredible thought and time you guys take to figure out how to better balance the game for us players to make it a more enjoyable experience. The recent Amarrian race boost was just one of those ways. This signifies that you're thinking about the players constantly, and trying to enhance our game play.
We also thank you for that game which is Eve. In all honesty, what other game has such a rich environment? I dare say none. What other game has such rich hitory that is, more importantly, entirely player driven? None. What other game gives you so many opportunities to make money or to do what you want, be it piracy, playing the market, or bounty hunting? None! Just the simple fact that alliances rise, conquer, and fall, and that it's an important historical event that has drastic effects upon the future gives evidence that this game is startlingly different from any other MMO in existence. That fact that one could write a book upon the alliances, wars, and politics of eve and that people use it to study market trends and politic trends lends support for the fact that it's entirely different from any other MMO. That makes this game an overwhelming rich environment, a fantastic game where the players can change the course of history! Thank you for that, CCP!
I know some people are going to flame and whine and complain, but that is in humans' nature. Just know that there are a lot of us that appreciate what you do.
Sincerely, FeralShadow |

After all I'm sure lots of other companies would have the continuing balls to commit to a PvP game based on a single server with real consequences for your actions. It isn't like they set out to do something new and different and have largely succeeded after all. I certainly wouldn't say they deserve credit for any of this, nor for the game which is in fact entirely their creation.
You are totally right.
Sell to EA or SOE asap plz asap CCP. Or I'll cancel my single account, thus crippling you financially.
Though honestly, the zombie plan and Mindy threads make up for CCP's deficiencies in my book. After all, we are here for entertainment, and that was a hell of a lot of it. --------------

I agree. Even though I ***** and complain when I lose an expensive ship, I love the game they have put together and how much they listen to the community.
Some people who respond to CCP's request for feedback in such negative ways makes me wonder how they put up with the abuse some times.
Anyhoo keep up the good work. Lets just hope the player base and the company dont take one another for granted. -----------------------------------------------

/signed. For anyone who has consistantly played since right after Castor there is no way in hell they can say that the game has not vastly improved in every concievable way except for fleet fights. And as a bonus and carrot on a stick to the CCP guys in charge of getting alliance warfare completely fixed I will send you a case of Johnny Walker Gold Label to celebrate with if and when we start getting consistant positive 'omg no lag in this 1000 ship fight!!!!!' type of feedback from our lovely forumites. Now thats some good incentive yes?

I am very pleased with the way CCP manages this online universe. It is the only game in a long time that I feel like setting long-term commitments on because the developers seem to have a dedication and long-term commitment to improving the experience of the game.

Indeed. I've got a 4 year plan that at the end of should leave me with a fully functional corp with leet cross race trained combat, industrial/manufacturing/hauling alts and a 4 carrier/mommy/rorqual/freighter cap fleet to boot. Then things should get interesting especially if 0.0 warfare is finally fixed to a reasonable level. Until then I still have my not quite leet combat and industy/hauler alts to bum around in.
