Okay might just be me but recently in England we've received a great influx of oreos from across the pond. Their sold in special offers in most supermarkets and quite frankly seem to be everywhere I go. So I go out and buy a packet since their about 30p in Sainsburys... ...now here is the main question. Does anyone else find that they are dry tasteless horrible biscuits? I mean I tried to even dunk them in milk like on the advert and frankly all I could think was "damn that milk was nice" and drank the milk instead. ___________________ I'm annoying |

Yeah, I live in America and apparently the Oreo is the number one cookie here. Every time I hear or read that I always think "Thats bull, those things suck, dry, bland, and overrated".
Chips Ahoy wins if you ask me, best cookie ever!

Yeah, I've noticed this too. They've been advertised on TV as well.
Shame really, because when I actually tried them they were a massive dissapointment.

Just had some a few seconds ago with my tea. They're OK, but I'm not a huge fan. They're a bit like a Bourbon biscuit, only drier, more sugary, and less chocolatey.
I'd opt for a Bourbon or Custard Cream any day, if I'm going for a sandwich biscuit. ------

Well when I ever get them I tend to only eat the white inside and leave the rest.
But there are so many nicer biscuits. Hobnobs own the **** out of oreos.

you have to be crazy to eat the normal oreo. Double stuffed is where its at. better yet, make a quadruple stuffed oreo out of the double stuffed.

Working in an industry that supplies machinery to the food industry, I can confirm Oreo cookies are manufactured from tanks of chemical ingredients and are not made and baked like normal biscuits, that's why they taste odd. Think of the gap filling self hardening foam used in construction... you get the idea.

Our local Asda has a big load of them on sale a few weeks back. They were relativity untouched, don't see them there now.
Also real biscuits are cooked twice.
