BoB really shouldn't have lost a single capital. Granted it was dumb for goonswarm to fight with those numbers, not that they have anything better to spend their isk on anyway, but 14 losses to 6 kills is a lot better than I would have expected going into a fight with those numbers.
Now, now, that's not really a true representation of numbers is it?

You should remember that those reports doesn't show 'Battle Participation', they show 'Kill Participation'. Since your pets killed relatively few of us, their numbers will be under-represented.
Besides, the numbers were also obviously wrong since we killed 10 out of the 7 carriers the report claim your pets had
You also conveniently forget to mention the fact that at the start of the battle they had around twice our battleships AND a fully repped shredder-POS.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but your pets were spanked by an initially numerically smaller force.... AT THEIR OWN POS
My views are my own. They do not represent the views of my corporation or alliance. |

I wouldn't laugh too hard considering the spanking they gave you guys at your own pos just last week.
And yes the killboard shows kill participation, but also loss participation, and if people aren't killing or being killed then they have no effect on the fight. So how you can blame taking losses in a fight where you had 4x more capitals on the field on hostiles who were apparently doing nothing. Please explain in great detail, tia

Well, my dearest Scavok, as we're all so freely giving out advice today.
My piece of advice for you would be: To defend your promethium and dysprosium moons in Aridia, it is important to keep your dreads logged on.
Also I'm not quite sure how exactly you prevent sieged dreads from dying to focused fire. :) -

We had more ships join while the fight was happening.
We killed 20 (or 19?) caps out of the 26 (not 15) capitals or so - that takes time, also considering some time of them were moving inside the shields and out.
The fight started with about 24 dreads, 3 carriers, 2 MS and 33 people as support including 22 battleships on our side, from what I counted and got reports of.
That vs their capitals, POS guns and battleships. The capital targets called went down pretty smooth. Our support (incl. battleships) went down for the most part to POS guns + battleships. The difference the support made was webbing a few capitals and drawing some fire away. Maybe the only thing we could've done better was shoot blackbirds/falcons/scorps with the battleships to prevent (some of) the carriers from being jammed, also 1-2 capitals could've been remote repped sooner if more focus was put on it. But those are relative small differences.
I think Goons made more errors by moving a part of the capitals inside the shields, leaving some out to be destroyed and then moving their capitals out of the shields again 1 by 1. Otherwise, only dreads would've been shot at first. We also couldn't resist shooting at the wyvern as soon as it came out of the shields and got back in with 25% armor
That's my SERIOUS view on it anyway! |

I watched the entire fight, from beginning to end and here is what I saw. I don't remember exact times, but those are irrelevant.
A Goon POS was coming out of reinforced. The tower had about 20+ guns, ranging from large to small guns, with almost all of them online. There were also some other modules such as energy neuts and warp scramblers as well. Goons had approximately 110 people in local, most at the POS. They started with 8 dreads, about 16 carriers and 1 mothership. They had about 70-80 support with about 40 or so battleships. If I am slightly wrong on those numbers, sorry.
About 3 minutes before the POS came out of reinforced, BOB cynoed in their cap fleet to one of their POS in system. From my count, they had about 25 dreads, 2 motherships (to start) and if I remember correctly, about 10-15 carriers. About 5 min after that, the BOB support fleet jumped into the system and warped directly to the POS. The BOB support fleet numbered in the 40-50 range at the start with about 2/3 of those being battleships. The BOB cap fleet also warped to the POS at the same time. As soon as the BOB cap fleet arrived, the dreads entered siege and the capital fight began. The goon support fleet focused (from my perspective) on the BOB support fleet with the help of the POS gunners. After a few minutes, it seemed as though Goons had the upperhand, because the BOB support fleet were warping out or dying. The capital fight started out pretty even. Goons lost a couple of dreads and a carrier or 2 and BOB lost a couple of dreads. However, once the goons started to move their carriers in and out of the POS shield to try and protect them, the momentum switched to BOB. The goon capitals could be remote repped consistently enough to keep themselves alive. And they started dropping one by one.
While this was going on, more BOB capitals and support began to trickle into the system. By the time the capital fight was close to finishing, I counted 4 BOB motherships on the field and still the 1 goon mothership (Wyvern). The goon mothership decided to leave the shield, and was immediately engaged by the BOB capital fleet and barely made it back into the shield by other reports. Before the fight ended, I believe the goon mothership cynoed out of the system.
Eventually, all goon capitals died that were still outside the POS shield. The goon support fleet continued to shoot at the BOB capitals and I believe (I could be wrong) but only took down maybe 1 more BOB capital. The fighter swarm from BOB then began to take out the Goon support fleet and the BOB dreads focused on the tower. Once the tower was destroyed, the Goon support fleet either warped out or died to the BOB fighters at the POS. At that point, BOB had complete control of the battlefield and cleaned up the wrecks. A few skirmishes took place at the station, but I don't have any details about those engagements.
This battle report is what I saw and witnessed. Like I said, I don't know exact numbers. You can see the killboards of both sides to see total numbers lost. --------------------------------------

You know, I've read through this whole post, every post, and I'm somewhat of a BoB/Goonie forum veteran, used to be in ISS and went through that whole mess, and to be honest, this entire post is missing something huge that every goon-involved post has.
Goons didn't want those capitals anyways?

ill post the battle report from our alliance forums.
Here is the battlereport from Camman about the fight that took place this morning in 319. Have fun reading:
The Goon POS was due to come out of reinforced at 06:52, 4 hours earlier we had hotdropped one of their carriers at the POS and incapped all their guns. Over the next 4 hours there was some small skirmishes at their pos as we tried to stop them repairing the guns, but we were heavily outnumbered and took a break to regroup at 06:15.
As the regroup was only set 3 hours before the scheduled time we werent expecting big numbers, even the ever optimistic TWD didnt think we would be able to take out the POS. The scheduled regroup time came and passed, and at 06:40 it wasnt looking promising. Come 06:50 our gang had hit 69 (22 dreads, 5 carriers, 1 MS and 20BS and 11 support). Sitting at the 9-22 goon POS (which had fully repaired guns at this stage) was 112 goons (25 capitals, 47 BS and 40 support). I personally thought we didnt have the firepower to engage, TWD thought otherwise.
We cyno'd in our caps, whilst our fleet held on the ingate to 319. The order was givent o allign to the 9-22 pos, and then warp in, at the same time the fleet was ordered to jump in and also warp in. The dreads immedieately siezed and started working on the hostile capitals that were right on the shields popping in and out. Our fleet was stupidly outnumbered at a fully armed hostile POS, so they warped in took some agro and warped out, regrouped and warped back in repeatedly, they were vital in drawing fire from the POS and the hostile BS which had now hit close to 60. In this time we were slowly working through their capitals as some support would web the goonie capitals long enough for us to pop them.
We continued to light cynos as the word went out that there was a cap fight ongoing and more and more bob captials logged in (finished maxing out at about 45 caps) and we continued to take ascendancy of the cap battle. At about halfway through the battle a goon MS poked his head out of the POS shield and was instantly primaried, he wasnt very far out of the shields so we couldnt get anyone between him and the POS shields very effectively, and eventually he was bumped/flew back into the shields at 25% armour, as he was agressed we were going to put a dictor bubble on him and finish him off when the POS died, but all our dictors were dead by this stage. As soon as most the hostile dreads were down, our fleet was told to stand down back at our friendly POS as their role of a distraction and cannon fodder had been complete. The goon caps popped one by one, and the carriers put out their fighters and heavy drones and started to pound on the goonie BS.
The POS was then destroyed and 1 goon capital was still inside and perished.
The stats from the fight were; dread 9 killed / 5 lost carriers 10 / 1 BS 14 / 17 fleet 35 / 8 POS 1 / 0
The fight was really intense, we knew going into it that it could go very badly, and 3 cloaked tortugans could have meant anything. Looking at the initial numbers BoB 69, goons 112 + fully armed POS, we really should have been spanked by all rights, but TWD did a really great job and our fleet was amazing.
This is just the first of many memorable battles that will be fought in and around 319 guys.
Cheers Cam

Seriously Darious, They ran from bob in the ascn war to the drone regions, they ran from there when ka-tet went to war and now they are hiding in goonspace. Why TF do you keep em around? You would think that a 500 man corp (a capital corp) would be far more usefull the they have proven themselves.
So what did they do for the swarm this war?
All I can think of is that they invested billions of isk in towers that they spammed in k-9 and 2-r while hundreds of other goons camped the 30 - 50 pilots from RMF into the station while waiting for Sov to change hands. IS that fighting?
Well it is for DS1.

Many corporations claim to be a lot of things; few manage to make good on those claims. They talk a good game, but when push comes to shove, they're the first ones packing it in.
I'm sure a member of DS1 will post about how they managed to build a Titan all by themselves, like that's suppose to negate the fact they have never participated in a meaningful way, but I don't see a corporation of 300 building a titan as impressive in the slightest, especially when they haven't done anything else noteworthy in more than a year. ---
