As you might (or might not) yet know, after a loooooooooong break, Angel Extravaganza "level 4 edition" is making a comeback. Ladies and gentlemen, the price of Alloyed Tritanium Bars (and related rigs, of course) is bound for a dive bombing run (well, probably quite that dramatic, but you get my drift).

Ah, I had wondered about the trit bar price spike... Not doing level 4 missions yet, due to still working on my cruiser level skills (my industrial skills on the other hand are getting quite buff).

About time they brought that damn mission back.
Not that I've done one in months or plan to for that matter.

Angel ship wrecks were one of the most "consistent" sources of ATBs around, and certainly the only reliable source in Caldari agent land (guess where most mission-runners are huddled together). The temporary removal of AE4 threw ATB prices (in Jita first, the rippling across neighbouring systems, then regions) out of whack, all you have to do is look at the sudden upwards jump in ATB price on the history graph.
Now, with the mission making a comback (and with less chance of "phat lewt" inside, making salvaging it even more compelling), you can expect ATBs to go pretty much the same way MCCs have gone (compare the two history graphs to see what I mean).

It will depend greatly on the drop-rate from Angels battleships. I've noticed that ATB fairly rare even in battleship heavy missions. If the drop-rate is consistent, I expect the change to be minimal, as the reward for farming the mission may not out-weigh the reward for turning it over for quick LP. *** Si non adjuvas, noces (If you're not helping, you're hurting)

On average, somewhere around 50 ATBs or so per mission, I'd wager, not quite sure, used to vary wildly. Have heard of numbers as low as 5 and as high as 100 from other people salvaging it.

Agree with Akita on this and sold all mine pre-patch.
AE was the mission that dropped the most bars and for many mission runners who run for Caldari missions in Caldari space dropped the most by some margin.

There's roughly 30 angel BS in the regular rooms and 10 more in the bonus room, if I remember correctly. Plus a shedload of battlecruisers, and other smaller ships too, over 100 total. Don't tell me you won't be getting on average at least 30 per L4 AE the very least, you'd have to be damn unlucky if you aren't... like I said, it's more like 50-ish on average.

No changes yet in our corp's home region (Verge), but I'm thinking Akita's right on the money. It may not happen very quickly, but the source of the drop will most likely stem from Jita and sprawl out to the neighboring regions.
I think I may have to sell what I've accumulated and buy in later ^^ *** Looking for a corporation to learn about all the different aspects of New Eden? The Trivenerate is hirin |

You're missing the point.
Unless the extravaganza missions break this rule, missions that have different kinds of versions for different rats will give you a rat type based on the region you're in.
Which means Minmatar space = angels, Caldari space = Guristas, Gallente Space = Serpentis, Amarr space = Sansha/Blood raiders.
So a Caldari agent in Caldari space should give Guristas extravangza (and while I was doing missions in Caldari space, that's exactly what I got).
The only way to reliably get angels is working in minmatar space, which not as many people do. So unless AE breaks this rule by being available in all regions, it won't change a thing. For people in Minmatar space, there's already plenty of good angel missions (WC, Vengeance, Blockade, Pirate invasion, etc) that give 20+ ATB's.
Speaking of which, I'm not sure AE gives more BS rats than blockade, and blockade most certainly isn't 50 bars, I'm lucky to break 30. |

Caldari agents in Caldari space did give AE as well as GE.

Caldari agents gave out both angel and gurista extravaganzas.
Moreover, an agent doesn't always give you missions based on what space you're in: I have had agents give me missions against amarr/caldari navy/serpentis in caldari space, when I know full well (having run them previously) that there are versions against minmatar/gallente navy/guristas |

Actually, "kill mission" spreads for empire agents look (very roughly) like this: * aprox 50-60% vs "local NPC" (Guristas in Caldari space, Serpentis in Gallente space, etc) * aprox 30-40% vs factional pirate enemies (Angels, Blood Raiders and Sansha for Caldari agents, etc) * aprox 5-15% vs factional empire enemies (Enemies Abound which feature Minmatar/Gallente navies for Caldari and Amarr agents, In the Midst of Deadspace which feature Amarr/Caldari navies for Gallente and Minmatar agents) * aprox 5% or so vs rogue drones and other "special" enemies (like Silence the Informant, which feature mercs and drones) * minor traces of courier/trade missions

I've never known Akita T to give entirely unreliable advice. When he spots a potential market trend, he's usually right. Besides, the proportion of this particular market held by people in the MD forum is tiny - most of the rig components are sold by missionrunners and bought by any random joe bloggs who's making rigs. Believe it or not, most players don't even read the forums, let alone this section of them.

Akita's advice is usually pretty solid. Naturally he takes advantage of the situations he notices *before* giving his advice on the forums, but I don't think it's a secret plot to screw you over.
Anyone paying attention should have seen the huge spike in ATB prices when AE4 was removed, and deduced a corresponding drop in those prices when AE4 was reintroduced. (Though sadly, I haven't seen this one yet personally on my mission running chars) |

As a major producer of rigs I welcome the influx of trit bars to drop the price. AS it stands, I am actually making less on all things using trit bars because even though margins are fairly high, volumes are lower.
Lower prices means higher volumes, more movement is always a good thing. |

NEWSFLASH : ATB prices are not dropping... yet.
The reason ? The overseer structure from the mission "Angel Extravaganza" has been removed and the mission re-enabled. Psssh... yeah, right. Nope, not true, sadly.
Even if the patch notes and comments from the devs prior to patch deployment stated that AE4 would be back... apparently, it's not back yet (at least that's the conclusion the mission-runners I know came to, none of them got it at all even after a long time after the patch). When it will actually be back, nobody knows, devs aren't saying a word about it either, at least for now.

I'm not so sure the extravaganza mission was the biggest source of them (i may be totaly wrong).
The reason I say this is because I did the "angel pirate invasion" level 4 yesterday and got 46 ATB's from salvaging that. Whether or not that is down to pure luck I don't know but it suggests to me it is random anyway like the loot drops.
