I apologize if this has been brought up in another thread (it probably has as there were quite a few people like myself ), but will there be any sort of game time added for pilots who were incapable of playing for 4+ weeks due the the boost patch FPS and other problems? (The fix deployed today works great btw). The only other reasonably related info I was able to find was regarding stuff that happened a long time ago, when players were given a few extra days of game time when the server was offline for an unanticipated and lengthy amount of time. I understand it would be hard to determine just who was really affected to the extent of not being able to play at all and for exactly how long other than by simply taking players at their word. I'm merely curious as to what, if any, sort of action will be taken regarding this issue.

4 weeks? No, only think thats you. And that sounds to be a local issue. In short, your own problem. Abstraction and Transcendence: Nature, Shintai, and Geometry |

I would expect no action at all. TBH, I haven't heard of this issue, and I spend entirely too much time on these forums to have missed it.
Or do you have a reference to a previous thread?

You could try petitioning for it, with a log server file to prove that you had problems, but I really dubt that you will get anything. read the EULA. CCP guarantee nothing, especially as the problem is related to your PC and connection characteristics.

It is the earth picture with the infinite symbol at the bottom. You copy link from the page press that button and the paste link in the box. Then press ok. EDIT:
Petition like the others did. State everything in a clear and concise manner. I have personally lost some play time but I brush it off. A month is alot I would definately petition.

The issue, as CCP informed us in the thread and in the patch notes, was caused by a glitch in the rendering of planets and moons. Therefore: not my fault, not due to my connection and/or config. That said, I'm not silly enough to believe I'm guaranteed anything, nor do I expect anything. But perhaps I'm naive enough to think that maybe there exists some benevelent soul who can pull through with a little something for us like they did in the past.

Edited by: Billy Sastard on 15/04/2008 22:58:26 LOL @ Compensation.....
BTW, on 4 different pc's EVE did not become 'unplayable' at all for me, and only on 1 of them did I see any FPS drop, and that PC is barely able to play the game as is. I think this is more a case of, one mans 'unplayable' equates to another mans 'annoying but it works'...
and just for good measure:

that is unplayable
if you managed to log on then it is playable and the fact states somewhere in the EULA that you wont get compensation unless the world end like you wont be getting diddly squat

If you want compensation from CCP - here is how you do it. It's very simple.
First you go to the nearest CCP building (wither its in Iceland, China, or the US).
You then walk into the lobby and sit on the waiting bench in the reception area.
You then stick your hand into the cushions and find some change.

There was one patch (I thought Trinity...i forget) that deleted some system files so if you rebooted your system before they hotfixed it you'd be screwed, possibly incurring hundreds of dollars in tech support bills.
Afaik, CCP never compensated anyone for this, they basically just said they were sorry. If they don't compensate people for that, I doubt you'll get anything because your FPS dropped a little.
