Hey.
Whilst sitting at work Yesterday, I thought of something CCP could look into.
So, here's my idea.
Solely for testing purposes on ships you can't yet fly or modules you can't yet use, why don't we have Multiplicity skills set as default for level V.
I know this may seem like a stupid idea, but it gives us newbs the chance to see what it's like to fly these ships that have just become available. [I myself, want to try a Carrier and possibly a few other capital ships, but that's just me.]
If you too, agree with my idea, please sign this, as I would like it to happen fairly soon if possible.
Thanks for reading my idea.

we generally do not do this as we need to test skill requirements and learning on the test servers a well.
When we want your help testing something specific we do run scripts that grant the needed skills to everyone on the server (f.e. Armageddon day etc).

Much better to speed training times up by a factor of 10k, and let players set long skill queues on the test server. Also let player reset their skills when they want to, either partly or completely.
Or just let the players choose their skill levels, by filling in numerical input boxes. Like an "Edit all Engineering skill values" button tha opens an edit box.
Automagically setting all skills to 5 wouldn't do half as much good as the above.
As for EVE itself, that which ******s player activity is very rarely ISK. Almost always it is the lack of needed skills. Given that, it strikes me as very strange that the kind of freedom you get on the test server is economic freedom. It is obvious that capabilitistic freedom would be much more valuable, useful and attractive, since the purpose of freedom on a test server is to be able to try things.

id rather have a button that allows me to increment my skills. i may want to do testing at level 3, then level 4, & finally level 5 of whatever im testing.
After all, its a test server, & should be treated as such.

Trying to think of the best way to say this, but what incentive would there be for pvpers to play on Singularity, when they could just log into SiSi and have all lvl V skills ?? ----------------- Think of someone you consider of average intelligence... now realise this. Half the worlds population is dumber than that person. How does the world survive such stupidity? |

The fact that TQ matters. If you want god mode, just boot up any game, use the cheat codes or a trainer, and go to town. But you only get e-peen points if you do it "for real" on a multiplayer server where you can show things off.
Personally, I *would* like to play with titans, dreads, etc, and can only fly battleships as of now, so it would be nice to be able to do it myself ratehr than trying to find someone who already has it to fly theirs around.

This would be the perfect chioce, many times iv tried to train a diffent direction to save wasteing time on TQ but noraly get a server reset before I get were I needed to be.

maybe instead of just copying peoples char over to the test server they give people the option of either copying their char accross or creating a new char with specific skills. |

probably no incentive, but sunds good to me. I can go about my business playing the game, probing & exploring in Low sec/Null sec, & not worry about PvP'rs as there all on the test Server
But in all seriousness, test server isnt exaclty constant like Traquility is, its gets updated, so ur skills will just revert anyways. But Tranq. is where it matters anyways, so i dont think having upgradable skills are going to deter ppl from the main server.
last time i was on Test, PvPers galore, im not really a PvP person, but knowing it costs me nothing to die multiple times, ill go out & shoot, & not worry about the cost/loss
