These can be bought in unlimited quantities from NPCs at 216 isk each, and they refine to 60 units of tritanium each; this works out at exactly 3.6isk/unit, the same as from reprocessing shuttles (rising to 4.4 if people buy heavily; people need to buy far more to get the same amount of trit).
Anyone buying trit at more than 3.6 is perhaps being a bit premature. My research services Spreadsheets: Top speed calculation - Halo Implant stats |

Yes, but only because smart people will slap a few mining lasers on their trusty battleships and go and make some easy cash from dumb crafters.

Cool, I just confirmed this. They are in lots of 8,333,333 in the noob school stations, so they are not as wide spread as the shuttles where, but with perfect refining you can get 60 trit.
Just lol! They have the database, a query on npc items that refine to trit should have shown *all* items which give 3.6 isk trit, not just shuttles :)
They could probably adjust their price rather than simply remove them?

So much for trying to remove the cap without letting people know, to prevent people from stocking up.
Better luck next time :(

well, yes, the 3.6 isk price cap for tritanium isn't broken yet, but it's getting weaker. in regions without access to newb items, ppl will reach the price cap, maybe even pay more. shuttles used to be everywhere, in EVERY station. economoy will gradually change.. and who knows, sometime in the future, every single item may be player made. |

Might want to point out, if you don't have 6.67 standing with one of the school corps they are sold at, it would take you 47 trips to move 8,333,333 civ ab's with a freighter at 180k per trip, which is a little over 10 mil.
I agree though, all mods should be either stop being sold by NPC's, or make civ mods non-reprocessable.

Ahahaha. Fail
Just bump em up to 500 isk/unit tbh, that should take care of it for the time being. Or even 1000 isk/unit. New players start with, like 5k, right? And every noob mission pays double or triple that.
Plus, there'll always be player-looted civillian afterburners for less than 1000 isk. So no problem really.

And what does scrap metal reprocess into? hmm?
Point is, until something is devised so that all seeded sell orders either become unreprocessable (not unsellable, just impossible to smelt) or are flat out removed (not a good idea for basic/civilian gear as it is a failsafe to assure newbies have some gear to build up capital with), minerals will continue to be price capped.

You'd think that, but only until we start hearing complaints about the 216 ISK price cap on tritanium! |

This is less of a problem than shuttles, because the price of trit is significantly depentant on its location.
Ie unless those civ AB's are available in the right place, the trit needs hauling, and if you are prepared to haul trit, you can get it at less than 3.6 isk/unit anyway.
