You'll have to look at the BP, but for sub-capital T1 ships all you should need is Industry. But Production Efficiency IV or V is desirable if you want to make it "cheaply".

At very minimum, you'll need Industry Level 1.
If the BP requires more skills, it will say so.
Note that skills such as Production Efficiency can help a lot :)

Quick rule of thumb, if your level in Production Efficiency is below 4, or you don't have a friend who's a industrialist, then go for the built ship for 80K.
For a more complex answer, look at the BP, see how much it would cost you to build the ship yourself, then see whether the price difference is greater or less than time/value of 50k LPs.

Edited by: KISOGOKU on 20/04/2008 08:53:03 I think this is a frigate take bpc ,it will be foolish accept 80k build ship offer ,frigates dont need much material production efficiency or not take bpc and build yourself, but production efficiency lvl 3-4 is good to have even for a pvper, youll need to build ammo and some other stuff later

Yes. Use show-info on the blueprint, and it will list any special skills you need.

Edited by: Kami Nodachi on 20/04/2008 10:49:04 blueprint info says no skills required, trained level I industry, gonna train level II over DT, and get the LP and isk for the print. How long will it take to build? It says manufacture time 1 hour 40mins, is this a best possible, or my actual time to make it? -Minna miteite kure- |

It's the manufacturing time for 1 piece (100 for ammo) without any skills. The Industry skill will reduce that time by a bit. 1 hour 40 mins sounds about right for 1 ship. (Note if you have a Blueprint Copy it will have only limited 'runs', you can produce as many of the item as it BPC as runs).

There are two basic methods of Manufacturing:
Individual & Corporate
1) Individual: Here you are building the thing out of your hanger. Put all the materials and the blue print in your hanger, then right click on the blue print and select Manufacture. Then select the Assembly line and tell it how many to make. It will then give you a window showing what it will cost you and how long the BP will take to make. Approve it and it will start. The blueprint will vanish from your hangar along with the materials but don't worry - for manufacturing - you will get the blue print back. Go to the Science and Industry tab, Select the Jobs tab, range station, for YOU, then click load jobs. You will then see a list of the jobs you have running. If you expand the range to Universe it will show you all the jobs you have anywhere.
Click on the job you want to look at and you will get a little yellow displlay down below showing how long you've got before it's done.
The job will have 3 basic status's: Pending (Red), In Process (Yellow) or Ready (Green). You won't see it to often with Manufacturing but with some of the other Activities, such as Materials Research or Copying, the assembly lines are all full. Now, here - when you submit your job - you can sort by completion and see which items are going to finish next - then choose THAT assembly line. You will be put in a queue. Looking at Your Jobs will then show your job in Red. When the other guy's job is done - yours will start and turn yellow. When it is done - it will say Ready and turn Green.
When your job is Ready, click on the job, then down in the lower right hand corner, click on the Deliver Button. The Deliver button has replace the Cancel Button that was in that location while your job was yellow and Processing. Canceling your job mostly gets you nothing as I understand it ... it pretty much goes to completion but then doesn't do anything. So you don't free up the line any sooner.
When your job is Delivered your blue print will go back to your Items hangar, the item will go to your Items Hangar too if it is not a ship - in which case the ship will go to your Ships Hangar.
2) Corporate. This is similar to the above. The major difference is that you can tell it which Corporate Hanger to get it's input from and where to output the results.
You make a job a Corporate Job by having the materials in a corporate hangar instead of an individual's hanger.
One of the advantages of Corporate Jobs is that anyone with the rights can create the job and anyone else with the rights can deliver it.
So ... say Joe the Engineer Submits the job - but it is Ernie the Trader who's going to pick it up and take it off to Jita to sell. Joe submits it and Ernie delivers it when it's done.
If Joe had Submitted the job as an Individual out of his own hangar - Ernie would have had to wait for Joe to log in and Deliver the completed job. Ernie would also not be able to see if the job was done yet as he couldn't see Joe's individual Jobs.
