I was thinking about joining a corporation - I know what my first choice is but in-game I can't see them in the corporation recruitment list. I know they were recruiting (a couple of days ago) and I appreciate that some corps have minimum requirements on new members. I've done a forum search but can't find anything and checked on google as well.
Unfortunately I didn't make a note of their home system and I can only remember the first 3 letters of that but the map only seems to let me search by full location. I've had a look at the 2d maps that are in the guides sticky and can see that the home system isn't in the forge - a map / searchable list of systems would prob. help me find them as well.
Any pointers?
TIA

Two things - if you remember the name of the corporation, you can look them up in People and Places, and it will show you the system where their headquarters are based. Now most corps don't operate out of the same area as their headquarters, precisely because this is publicly available information - however you will always be able to make an application to join them from their HQ.
Alternatively, if you remember the first few letters of the system you're thinking of, then open People and Places (again), set the drop down to Solar System and type in those letters. You'll get a list of all the systems in game that start with those three letters (which is likely to be very few), and hopefully seeing the actual system on the list will jog your memory. From there you can even right-click on it and Set Destination so that the autopilot will plot a route for you and highlight the gates you need to traverse in yellow.

if you know the name of the Corp you can search under "people and places", select corporations from the dropdown, type all/part of the name in the text box then search - you can then right-click the corps listed there to get more info and find out the CEO's name so you can eve-mail him/her.

Showing info on the corp will also show the the CEO's name, so you can convo them to ask where they operate. It's usually a good idea to have a chat with them anyway to get an idea about the corporation, what they do, where they are located etc.

I'll add to check in the corp's info section, often in the CEO's bio, which will direct you to their web page, if any, and whom to contact about recruitment, and whether they're recruiting. Well-organized corps often have recruitment officers, and if it's a busy corp, the CEO probably won't have time to answer emails.
