Escrow is another market withing Eve. What makes it different from the main market is, you can sell everything there, including named loot and bpc. When you want to but any item there make sure you right click on the item and choose 'Inspect merchandise' to make sure its what its supposed be.
clagnuts> im drunk just come back from pirates night in spain , wtf i thought it was some eve guys getting together for a drink , turned out to be a feken real pirates show , doh |

Yeah, that is an important part... Dont just presume that the description is correct and it describes exactly what the item is! There are con peeps out there that will try anything if your not careful!
And the actual escrow is located in the Agents tab when you enter the station on the right hand side of the Eve window. _________________________________________

Escrow is a second market under the missions tag. You can trade pretty much anything on there. Think of it as a completely open market system with a facility for the buyer to check the goods before paying.
Each escrow entry can be a single item or a bundle of several different items, eg. a set of several BPCs, a ship and its gear, a weapon plus ammo, etc.
Anyone viewing the list of escrow entries will see all those they can potentially buy, with prices and locations and a brief description of what the escrow bundle is. They can then use right-click and inspect merchandise to make sure the escrow bundle is what it actually claims to be. If you want the item and can afford it, you can claim the escrow lot and its yours. You then just have to go and collect from whichever station its in.
IMPORTANT: always right-click and inspect merchandise before claiming escrow. If you don't, you leave yourself wide-open to scamming.
When you put something into escrow, you can make it open to anyone or restrict by a number of categories (including to just one named player). You can set whatever price you like, but if its price is too high people won't buy it. There is also a nominal fee for using the escrow system, and you need to specify how long the item will remain on escrow for if it isn't claimed.
Escrow can also be used to transfer stuff between two players or alts. You use the system with a nominal price (not sure it'll accept zero price) and setting the target to a specific character name. This lets you leave gear for friends while they are offline, just let them know its waiting by eve-mail.
Its also common for traders to use the escrow system for delivery. Place the item in escrow restricted to whoever you are selling it to, with the sale price as the cost to claim and a 1-3 day collection period. They can then go and pick up at their convenience and you'll get the cash as soon as they claim the item, and means the buyer can make sure you are selling them the right thing before paying. If it isn't claimed by the end of the time specified, it automatically reverts to the seller.
