For some reason all of the shuttles are selling for 50k+ if not more like 500k+. What gives? I feel like someone needs some competition to get these prices back down to where they aren't laughable |

Edited by: Tyria Sharken on 22/04/2008 07:07:51 To actualy answer your question, unlike the 99.9% of other pilots in Eve do(which is troll to make themselves feel all high-n-mighty when they still wear their diapers)
The reason their so overpriced is NPC Corperations nolonger sell Shuttles. I think the reason behind this was people were buying millions of shuttles and reprocessing them for the trit rather than mining them (as the price of trit went so high up that it was cheeper to buy/reproccess a shuttle than actualy buy the trit on the market)
So now people are trying to take advantage of the low-sec / 0.0 Sec corperation/players by overpriceing the shuttles to hell and back. --------------------------------------------- "Only two great species on this planet take part in massive, organized warfare. Men, and ants." |

This. Until supply has stabilized somewhat, you may consider putting shuttle BPO's at strategic locations and making your own for the time being.

The prices will stabilize in time, im sure
However, I am more afraid of the number of occupied production slots if everyone and their mother starts making shuttles. The number of slots are allready under heavy pressure.

This could of course cause a rise in the construction of low sec POSes with manufacturing plants renting out their capacity to the highest bidder. Which in turn would make low sec more populated.

The price and supply are more of a nuisance now compared to what you'd probably be used to, however even with rubbish manufacturing skills it's fairly cheap and easy to produce you own stock wherever you think you'll need them.

And as has been mentioned before, they are a convenience at best. If you want the 7 AU/s so badly, build them(or get an interceptor instead). If you just want a disposable ship, get a free noobship and make the tritanium shortage 1 unit less .

Does any one read posts?
The guy is suggesting that the high prices need some competition to bring them down. Suggesting that a) he understand that NPCs no longer sell shuttles and b) he understands that people are making them. He is therefore hoping that someone will move into this market and undercut the current traders and bring the price down. I would presume that the price of shuttles will fall to not far above the old price because most t1 ships seem to sell for only the slimmest of margins - although obviously a Trit price rise will push all ship prices up
