Pirates are always welcome to come to Mamet (actually, Kheram is a rockin' place to get these haulers). CVA fights pirates. Period. That's what we do to play the game. The biproduct of our activity is gravitation of macroiskers to our space. The biproduct of people who pirate to play the game is potential loss of CCP customers (indeed there are pirates in this very forum who are proud of the prospect of forcing players away from the game. Referrence any "why I play the game" type thread.)
Both can be nicely argued as damaging to the game...but both are biproducts of completely valid playstyles.
Come to CVA space for pirating (plenty of it to be had...tons of missions runners, legit and otherwise) or come to CVA space to fight the CVA. You're more than welcome to; conflict is healthy for the game and fun for any pvper. But this "CVA are corrupt and directly and purposefully protect and profit from isk farmers" is just silliness.

And frankly, people leaving the game because of piracy are pussies...
So are folks who think CVA profits from macroers just because we hunt pirates. That's backwards in every sense: The macroers profit because CVA hunts pirates. The volume of macroers is simply a side-effect of our playstyle. It sucks, but it is what it is.
If CVA targetted macroers, we wouldn't be talking about how CVA supports macroers; we'd be talking about how CVA are hypocrites about hunting pirates, about defending neutrals, and all that other good stuff that CVA tends to be quite vocal about.
Someone's going to complain. I suppose we'd rather someone complain because they don't like our style than complain because we are hypocrites.

So basically, you are more concerned with your RP ideals than the well being of Eve.
Yes. As a paying customer, my approach to Eve is appropriately selfish. I play to have fun in a fictional world, not play referee. The well being of Eve is CCP's responsibility as far as I'm concerned.
Interestingly enough, if macro-hunters come to lower Domain to exclusively kill macroers...then CVA will never hear about it. The issue is that full-out pirates tend to take up this task, and they shoot anything and anyone. And then CVA shows up based on reports in an intel channel. Then the pirate(s) is/are dispached or chased off. Then the pirate(s) in question run(s) to the forums and cries that CVA is protecting macroers.
There's not really much logic to understand, beyond "it's not our responsibility to police the game." We choose not to hunt macroers. Folks are welcome to choose to dislike us for that, because, as I've already implied, folks are gonna choose to dislike us for one reason or another...particularly pirates.
*edit* Looks like Ambtuehr beat me to my main point...
