Well mostly its down to range you pick what drone's best suit your range.
Tho i don't bother with them i just use heavy's or Mid's since im never that far away to make use of them. Death is great rember where all dying to get there. |

Bouncers go up to 70km so they are the best for long range

at a guess i'd say none as it'd be FAR better to use T2 sentry drones...
as for that i'd say the explosive and kinetic types for the most part and maybe the thermal type if you know what you're goin up against. I highly doubt the em drones would ever be used unless you're shooting at a pos without any EM resistance hardeners and the other 3 resistances tanked to buggery.

Seems to be a lot of guessing in this thread, so I won't feel like a total noob asking a question: Does the 200%/LVL bonus to fighter control apply to drone control range? I don't fly carriers, but love using sentries on my Moros even if it does take a few minutes to collect them afterwards.
Drone range may not be as important as damage type because a drone won't target outside of control range, and there are more important things to fit than range augmentors in a carrier's high-slots.

means that Wardens are pretty much useless unless you fit a Drone Link Augmentor, which costs you a high slot; or can position them in advance, which is a pain.
EDIT:

I'm 90% certain that the answer to that is no. Even though they fill the same bay and are used in the same manner, a lot of Drone bonuses only apply to Drones and I'm pretty sure that all Fighter bonuses only apply to Fighters. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |
