If you started the game again what would you change about your character? What Race are you now? What Race would you start again as and why? You are now reading my Sig. |

Edited by: Maidel on 24/04/2008 22:34:28 I would specalize.
At the moment my main can do pretty much everything, but not much of it can he do extremely well.
Edit - just making clear that this is my main.. my alts are all specalized.

I would be a Brutor instead of a Sebiestor, for one thing. Then I would probably take Soldier instead of Special Ops, so as to get my T2 small guns that much faster. Beyond that, I'd do everything exactly the same.

If I started again...
I wouldn't have taken that 8 month break after my first 2 months of play... I would have been more diligent at focusing on Amarr ships instead of learning Gallente and Minmatar as well... I wouldn't have sold my maxed out mining alt when the introduction of the drone regions forked mineral prices... I would have paid more attention when buying that EMP S in Oursalert... I would have started my research alts as soon as I could afford the skillbooks in the hopes of getting T2 BPO's before they binned the lottery...
God there are so many things, I could keep going but I wont.

I'm not sure really. I would probably still be Caldari, specializing in missiles.
However, instead of getting stuck in lowsec I would have started doing empire wars.

Likewise, exactly. /Mourn
I also would have taken a combat instead of industrial/mining path, I had no idea how much mining sucked and have had a slower time building up my combat skills now because of my initial choice.
I'd still be Gallente all the way though. Space French 4tw.

Same here. I spent years playing Guild Wars when I could have been playing Eve.
Oh well, it was good times. But I could have been playing both.

I would not have had a higher charisma than memory
I would have started an alt much much sooner
I would have trained 24/7 and not slacked off for weeks at a time
I would probably have learned the learning skills sooner

Edited by: OffBeaT on 25/04/2008 01:14:55 i would of made a diffrent pick of skills for this guy he is supper in skilling up weopons skills but poor for any other skills these days anyone can get high weopon skills even with low learning skills for it. most start off with pritty good per/will anyway. it dosnt seem too pay off too well with high weopon skills.
with people now being able too buy accounts legal i think skills dont mean much anymore anyway.. anyone who works skills for months too get too do somthing is just pulling there hair out.
hehe.. how many times dose a guy have too train his missile lunchers over and over again anyway.. ghess, 3 separate skills just too do what one skill or two should do..

I had needed to restart, now with the foreknowdedge of needing two alts.
Would've made one character entirely combat orientated, balancing it's attributes until it has almost no charisma, but a bucketload of all the others.
Made another completely mining/trade/industry orientated, abobe average memory, intelligence, charisma still a little low due to not being needed for many skills, possible speccing in raven battleships too for use as a isk generating alt when main hits hard times in pvp.
Would've probably given them better names.

I wouldn't have put any extra points into Charisma. Also, I'd have trained the support skills up higher earlier before I started looking to fit and fly T2. Less-than-optimal ship stats have probably cost me more than I realize.

I'd tone down my intelligence and memory a bit and boost my perception. 750K SP in gunnery somewhat limits my PvP options. ---------------- Tarminic - 35 Million SP in Forum Warfare Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.81 (Updated 4/8) |

yea bro but you can jam well with them skills & that would win most fights rather then fire power anyday. i would traid off hafe my hitting power for better jamming any day in a fight. i win way more fights jamming then shoting. i am in bad shape for jamming now it just kills me as a fighter. |

I had a buddy that played Eve religiously back in 05 and though I considered it, I was against having to pay a subscription fee to play a game. Little did I know about Eve back then, but hey.. hindsights always 20/20.
I started playing in Jan 08 and now I have two subscriptions...

I made my first character April 8th, 2004 (ActiveX). I made several since then and the one I'm posting on now is the first one I've been happy enough with to keep.
My main has been 3 years in the making.

- Fixed my attributes... urgh... But I've lived so far with them.
- Grown into ships a bit better, when I started out I went with specializing frigates, it wasn't until a fair bit of months later I realized I could have saved a *** load and been almost as effective if I had gone to cruisers and battlecruisers first instead.
- Not switching races about 3 weeks into the game, thus stunting my growth further... then wind up going back anyways after a long period of time.
- Not have been an idiot and lose who knows how many destroyers trying to fight BC rats solo when starting out for about a full month or so (the amount of isk/frustration I could have saved here... oh man)
I could go on, but they're obvious things, like be smarter and more efficient with funds/skils, etc.

For my oldest two alts I would maybe balance the attributes a bit but for all the rest I wouldn't change a thing about their skill progression. As far as what I do in game that would probably be the same but then again I have so many specialized alts I've pretty much experienced everything the game has to offer sans those OMGWTFLAGFREE fleet fights I hear the 0.0 residents pining about so often.

Specialized in my own races ships much harder and not branch out until I say, hit cap ships or maxed out BS maybe.
Maybe, just maybe, started as either Amarr or Minmatar instead of Caldari, but thats a toss up.

Roll Achura, the master race. I would put my bonus attributes into perc and int, not mem and charisma . I would have an industrial alt, instead of trying to roll everything into one.

I would probably quit EVE because skill training is very time consuming and PvE gameplay is so borring. I'm still here because i hope that factional warfare will be something more interesting pve content.
