Originally by: Herb Philbrik This reminds me of the final days of the Alpha Quadrant/Dominion conflict.
Due to the tactical brilliance of Capt. Sisko and the professionalism of Starfleet, the Dominion had been pressed into Cardassian space, their last firmly controlled region in the Aplha Quadrant. While the final assault raged on the outskirts of the defense perimeter, Gul Dumar, former installed leader and puppet of the Dominion occupying force, begins a rebellion on the Cardassian homeworld. Their old benefactor's arrogance, blatant exploitation and iron-fisted rule being too much for the proud Cardassian people, Dumar was able to rally his people to open defiance of Dominion rule.
As the call went out to the Cardassian fleet engaged on the perimeter, they bravely turned their guns on their oppressors. Taking heavy losses, their sacrifice carried the day for Starfleet.
However, the Dominion would not stand or such insolence. Without hesitation or mercy, the order was given to bombard all major population centers from orbit, and begin mass extinction on the planet surface. Billions of lives were lost.
Bruised and battered, the Cardassian people must now rebuild their former great empire from nothing; their foes contained, their pride unflinching, sometimes a phoenix can rise from the ashes.
The End.

Awe... isn't that cute... Tyrrax is trying to be noticed and insure the EVE community doesn't forget him!
I had personally begun to forget... nothing ever happens in the EVE universe that doesn't revolve around Tyrrax in some way.
You know, Tyrrax... if you read the game development forum, there is a thread by a DEV letting the community know that to accommodate egos, they've devised a way in increase the head size of character portraits. Now Recruiting. Join "Neogen" channel for details

Lets be honest. MC didn't get treated that very well by Bob were they? As we could read in this thread. Bob knew about this and pretty much did nothing because they were too busy defending their own territory.

The analogy would only work if MC was cardassians, BoB was the federation, the coalition was the dominion, and mynas was a shapeshifter. Then you would need Mc to rise up in popular revolt against the coalition upon the arrival of GBC forces into PB (this didnt happen).

tbh fair i think everyone that remotely thought about the situation knew MC would be wiped out.. either by BOB or the coalition, depending who won the battle for delve..

You keep saying this, but tbh other than a disagreement over strategy in catch i aint heard how they were "not treated very well" tbh. Even you haven't made up anything to back this up.

This game has the finest community. That the player base seems generally mature and intelligent enough to turn what is essentially the most basest WoW-esque epeen-comparison thread into an unfolding saga of betrayal, intrigue, warfare, psyops, and propaganda is a testament to the open nature of this game.
Spinning my attempt at ironic humor was the best. Man, Karl Rove could pick up some pointers here, from all sides. Carry on folks :)

DICE, a member corporation of BOB, loaned a Titan BPO for nothing after MC had lost their Titan. Pretty good treatment if you ask me. One thing I learn in BOB...you do good work for BOB you will be looked after. You do bad work or think you are our equal...you will get whacked by the Brothers who cant stop playing GTA4.

The fall of MC comes just in time before the launch of Age of Conan.

Shush their discomfort with giving them something to defend their capital shipyard for 8 weeks.Sure, that's really generous.

Actually one was saved, on a thursday night if I recall correctly, with the help of over 300 GBC members.
The other that came out friday morning was unfortunately building an Hel, something MC neglected to tell BoB. Moreover, Seleene himself said here on caod that he did not expect anyone to turn up to kill it just after downtime. By his own admission, he forgot that downtime was actually the russian's primetime. __________

Linkage
And I quote: Quote:
After last night, we figured we would be able to rep the second starbase up without many problems. Due to the tower coming out of reinforced after downtime, we honestly did not expect a serious attempt on it at such an off time of day.
On the evening that the first POS came out, there was a major coalition formup everywhere and the GBC responded in kind with well over 300 people. The reason there were very few GBC present for the 2nd pos saving was simply a result of MC not telling us what was inside. __________

nah, MC are secretive like that. Most Mc members found out about the tortuga formation and the attack on PB at the same time as BoB did. In fact there are claims here BOB was informed in advance. I can confirm that the MC grunt was NOT informed beforehand.

Nice history re-write there, amazing. Full GBC went and saved the first shipyard, second shipyard died around dt the next day, most of us didn't even know it existed. Bob did take part ofc, tho they ended up shooting at outbreak at one point, tho i think it wasn't anything serious, the rest of GBC set outbreak blue for the opp.

Re read this thread and find out that Bob command already knew this. I guess the only one that didn't knew this was this MC grunt of yours who prolly was busy trying to apply for Bob membership. Too bad Bob don't recruit any spesjul people. Except if they have spesjul powers that is.

Ok so what is MC's next move?
1.Surrender and beg for mercy - unlikely to be accepted by Bob due to MC lack of humility on COAD. 2.Failure cascade - Probably favoured by some MC leaders so they can slip assets into there own hangers 3.Counter attack û Possible but where? TPAR, L5D, C3N. For how long. Is that your version of mercenaries?
Either way, me got popcorn and coke and occasionally drop them to smack you, Ghaelsto, on CAOD because your bitterness pleases me. I like being pleased.
EDIT just spotted KIA post above, are they withdrawing from Tortuga and Period Basis.

instead of relaying on BoB to attack us and make your hard feelings go away, why not bring your own 1 man alt corp down here?

Likely #2.
Both #1 and #3 are laughable and would result some hilarious supercapital kills for BoB.
#4 -- move to Stain and become C0VEN pets. #5 -- move drone regions/north, like all the other failure alliances #6 -- say they're emorage quiting the game, Cyvok style (BoB wins again here, in case you didn't know) #7 -- complain about unfair spying and "metagaming" tactics --- oh wai, they already did this #8 -- new "contract" against the guristas that must require intensive running of Caldari Navy missions in empire
But yes, #2 is most likely.

What assets? As far as I know bob are killing all the towers down there and that's pretty much the only assets together with the stations that MC has. All the other stuff belongs to the individual corps which will most likely still be intact after a collapse of the alliance. And for getting lots of money on moon mining.. MC only had access to J8 for moon mining until it was decided to do the Tortuga thing and after that all the different entities down there shared the moons in PB. All supercap bpos are either corporation owned or personally owned by different members in the corps. |
