Add a salvager and drop the ogre for 5 med and 5 light to deal with webbing/scramming frigs and cruiser rats. Plus 5 med do nearly the same dps as 3 ogre and are much much faster. Alternatly you could drop the 5 lights as well skilled med drone kill npc frigs about as fast as light and use a heavy weber drone with 4 meds to maximise your dps on your gun targets and more easily control the range.

Head -> Desk
A Kronos without MFS makes me cry.
4 425er II, Drone Link, Tractor Beam, Heavy Nos 2 TCs, CR II, AB/Web LAR, 1-2 Harnders, 1-2 EANM, 3x MFS
T2 Hybrid Optimal Rig CCC II
Faction if you have the Money, but T2 will do also. ----------------------
Nerf Lasers! Thay need far to less CPU and Grid to Fit. Still using not enught Cap and do far to mutch Damage. O wait... they allready did... =( |

You're not doing that ship justice with that fitting..
Try this for a reasonably cheap setup:
[Kronos, Kronos, NPC] Large Armor Repairer II Armor Explosive Hardener II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Armor Thermic Hardener II Amarr Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Shadow Serpentis Magnetic Field Stabilizer Shadow Serpentis Magnetic Field Stabilizer
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Domination Stasis Webifier
425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L 425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L 425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L 425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L Small Tractor Beam I Small Tractor Beam I Salvager I
Auxiliary Nano Pump I Nanobot Accelerator I
Garde II x3 Hammerhead II x5
The Domination web is necessary, really. 15km 99% webber is invaluable, and not excessively expensive, considering the price of the ship.
The other faction modules are optional, but for bang for buck, you can't beat Navy EANMs and Mag Field stabs.
Obviously change your hardeners around depending on which missions you run, and never ever fly with less than 2 damage mods.

You guys are wasting that cargospace. The ship needs one, and only one cap mod, a heavy cap booster. And what's with all the crappy T2 gear? It's a 700mil ship, splash some faction on it. 3x faction MFS is minimum
Jill has a great setup, though I'd switch the CCC and CR for a nano pump and a cap booster.

I got 3 SS MFS on it.
The Fitting works without Cap Booster(ofc it is a bit unstable but no big deal if you are knowing how to roll L4). It tanks even Reacon 1/3 vs Angels without Problems with a Core C LAR, T2 Explo Hardner and 2x TS EANM. Also you have to drop the Nos(and this is quite handy in most Angel Missions) if you want to fit the Cap Booster after the Optimal Rig that increases the Powergrid need of the Rails.
Also you need very good Gunnery(also the Slot 9 and 10 Damage Imps) and Drone Skills because your Damage is mostly your Tank. ----------------------

Yeah, that's why it's great! Save for cap method, exatcly like I would use.
I'm sure you're right that you've got enough cap and enough tank for your needs. I'd rather be certain of it and have the cap booster, since Marauders have more then enough cargospace anyway. You don't need NOS if you've got a booster, not even to AB around and tank continuously.
I'm still lacking hybrid 5, so I've got 2x salvage tackles on my Kronos for the time being. It doesn't offer me any more gank then my Domi, just more tank. |

damage rigs are stacking nerfed with magstabs afaik, so when you are already using 3 magstabs a damage rig is not that useful. |

Yes the Damage Rigs are not a good Choice. Tracking or Optimal Rigs are fare better because they help to delvier the DPS better(Tracking) or simply increase Range for the High Damage Amnos(You can use Antimatter with my Fitting up to 70km without thinking about switching to a weaker Anmo). ----------------------

LOL heavy booster on kronos? and why web + tracking computer? use cap rig+aux rig + faction rep and rest cap rechargers.
My setup:
[Kronos] Tuvan's Modified Magnetic Field Stabilizer Corelum C-Type Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Core A-Type Large Armor Repairer Shadow Serpentis Magnetic Field Stabilizer Selynne's Modified Armor Thermic Hardener Setele's Modified Armor Kinetic Hardener Corelum C-Type Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane

Auxiliary Nano Pump I Auxiliary Nano Pump I

I can tank every mission with that rep ( with true large rep also wasnt a problem also if you are carefull and not semi afk:P) And OP posted setup with MEDIUM NOS???? Use true sansha heavy nos they are cheap. but for kronos salvager+tractor is a must

Web + TCs come handy if you mission with it vs Angels. So you have many BS orbitting under 10km and many fast Cruisers orbitting at 22-30km.
With 2 TCs you can chose between Range and Tracking very good and bring the Damage the Ship does in a Mission close to the theoretical DPS of the Setup.
Against Guristas or Serpentis you donŠt need the TCs that hard but they still nice to have and speed up the Missions quite a bit. ----------------------

i've used both injected and passive recharge fits extensively, and i've come to prefer the injected setup. As others have already mentioned the kronos has enough cargo space, and it leaves more mids to fit tracking comps/sensor boosters (serpentis blockade?) whenever needed. Without the tracing comp and/or ab on your setup hacs orbiting outside of your web range will be a PITA.

did you lot realise that the kronos is the most viable blasterboat for lvl4 missions? give her the cheapest officer rep (200 mill, think of it as an alternative insurance) in a 4hard 1rep tank (5.1 for angels) and she can run 2 mag stabs (1 vs angels) and push out over 800dps with AM and t2 modules. no dmg rigs, no implants, no drones, no faction mag stabs, just a whole chunk of blastery goodness. load her up with faction mods and tasty implants and things just get silly.
yes rails are better with the exception of damsel, but the kronos can be your ticket into having fun with blasters. not the isk/hour way but a definite must for fun/hour.
oh and i like the 3 tractor beams on mine. after i clear the stage i tractor all the wreaks into a tight ball to return later with my 6 slavager BC. looting and salvaging goes real fast that way. Because sometimes you just have to go back to your roots: [2005.02.20 01:08:03] (combat) Your Civilian Light Electron Blaster perfectly strikes Serpentis Smuggler, wrecking for 20.3 damage |

4x 425mm Railgun 3x Whatever (Drone links, tractors, salvagers, etc.)
Medium or Heavy Cap Booster (as fitting allows) Tracking Computer AB/another Tracking Computer Web
LAR 3x Hardeners (swap as many hardeners as you like for magstabs or tracking enhancers on easy missions) 3x Magstabs
1x Auxiliary Nano Pump 1x Hybrid Rig (Range/Tracking/Damage, whatever your preference)
Huge cargo bay is huge. Cap booster is therefore mandatory. Wasting all those useful lo, mid, and rig slots on cap recharge mods/rigs is a SIN on this ship. This setup will deal so much dps (at range, no less) that you won't even need to use a single cap booster on most missions because you'll barely need to run your repper at all, since you'll be killing so quickly, and killing so many ships before they get anywhere close to their optimal. Even the longest, toughest missions won't even come *close* to emptying your cargo hold of boosters and ammo if you cycle your repairer correctly.
With web and 2 tracking comps, you'll even be able to pop spider drones with your guns.

Edited by: Zaqar on 07/05/2008 13:39:40 Cap booster is definitely viable, and is my preference. It's such a shame to waste all those lovely midslots on boring old cap rechargers. I have never run out of charges, and you get to know how many to take for a given mission.
Mine is much the same as some of the others in this thread:
4 x 425 II, Navy AM, Navy Thorium, bit of Spike that hardly gets used 2 x tractor 1 x salv -- Deadspace AB - Gist B IIRC Shadow serp tracking comp, both scripts (I wish they'd lower cycle time...) Unecessarily expensive cap booster Domination Web (as mentioned, its a crime not to have one) -- Some mid-range officer rep 3-4 Hardeners 2-3 Shadow Serp MFS -- Edit: forgot rigs, 2 x aux nano
Take a large container in cargo for more space.
Drones I can never quite decide. Sentries can compliment the guns' damage nicely, but you can only use 3 on it, and packing 3 sentries means you can't pack a set of med and a set of lights :( Then again, you can dispatch NPC elite frigs at 5km with the domi web + main guns, so do you really need the lights? Still can't decide. 25m3 more dronebay pls :) Oh, go on...
Anyway, splendid missionboat. Flying the Nighthawk afterwards seems so freaking slow :)
