Hi, im trying to find a decent OGG to mp3 convertor, prefferably shareware. Ive recently found my old usb memory stick with all the EVE music files on it, problem is i want to stick them on my ipod and it doesnt play OGG files.
Any help you guys n gals could give me would be gratefully recieved.

Goldwave sound editor.
Open the OGG file, save as MP3. You might need the LAME MP3 codec if you haven't already installed it, which is a free download though.

Many thanks, I'll give this one a whirl. It certainly cant be any worse than some of the others I've tried. One of them left each song with an annoying ticking sound that occured every 15-20 seconds.
I'll post back to report how it went.

I have a handy program called "Audio MP3 Converter", whose name is a teeny bit misleading. It can convert any direction between WAV, MP3, OGG and WMA. Reasonably quick with configurable quality settings, very easy to use and shareware. Goldwave is also a handy program, and does more than just convert formats. -------------

I tend to use the various *Drop apps for this (RareWares has all you need). Not a whole lot of functionality, but they do their job well enough. Note that you may have to decode them manually first, so if this is the case you'll need oggdrop for decoding and lamedrop for encoding. Still, convenient enough that I won't bother looking for something better.
