What a sad day for EVE, as CCP freeze the RP alliances out of faction warfare. No more RP events unless your part of the WOW in Space club.
My original sig was 'Enjoy lag free play in a dynamic space MMORPG'. It was removed for lack of EVE content! ;)

Could people stop confusing the major 0.0 alliances with the RP alliances. Few is any RP alliances hold 0.0 and even the couple that do (CVA) for example are not using their control of that space to 'rake in the isk'.
For example many RP alliances operate NRDS in 0.0, as opposed to NBSI which is used by almost everyone else. Plus if you think that anyone of the major 0.0 alliances would be bothered to take part in FW, then your mistaken, given the amount of content these groups already have to play with.
The second claim is that the RP alliances want to dominate FW for their own ends. This is just rubbish. Many RP alliances do not even support the 4 factions involved. Those that do would just like to join in and be part of the story, so to speak. Nobody wants to exclude anyone else from RP content, and nobody wants to be excluded themselves.
If CCP made a simple statement that there will be Alliance based content to run parallel with the FW, or as part of it, everyone would be happy. But once again CCP squander the goodwill of the community with incomplete information that causes bad feeling for no good reason.

RP alliances have constant war decs with each other, which is far nastier. Perhaps you should investigate things first before making comment.

Even the most jaded poster here would agree that on all but one point CCP are one of the best, if not the best MMOG company. If CCP have a failing its their often hamfisted way of passing on info. Look at the carrier changes for example, a near riot insued over nothing. CCP could give us a free week of EVE, but inform us in such as way as to cause people to cancel their subscriptions.

I believe that the message from CCP is 'wait and see as nothing is written in stone'.
Of course what worries people is the FW becomes the only RP show in town, and nothing else happens unless its tied to FW.

Well CCP have spoken. Their message to the RP community is 'So long and thanks for all the Long Limbed Roes'. And I was wrong, its not so much WOW as Counter Strike in Space...
