Hi
Everytime i Analyze a system with a multispectral probe, the scan start, then after a while (random amount of time) the scanner close and get back to previous windows.
To better understand look this 2 pictures i got:
http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/8680/scan1pw5.jpg http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/145/scan2dr1.jpg
So.. while it is scanning (picture 1) it suddenly get back to previous scanner window (picture 2). If i click on "Analyze" again, it says that i cannot start a new scan while the other one is not finished, so ok, it is scanning, but i cannot see the remaining time :(
Is that normal? Is that a bug? Does it happened to anyone before? Is there a way to solve it? Should i bug-report it?
Thx :)

Yeah, happened to me before and it usually happens when your probe dies. It takes a few seconds-minutes for your ship's scanner to realize that the communication witht he probe is gone and a new one can be launched/a new scan can be started.
If it happens even though your probe is alive, relogging helps, but you need a new probe.

If the scan is still happening in the background, i.e., you get results at the end of the cycle, it's something that sometimes happens when you warp during a scan. (This used to be the way people would get multiple scans at the same time, since before it was fixed, the second window would let you begin another one.)
If the scan isn't actually finishing, or you're not doing any warps, definitely bug report it. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Happens when you warp mid-scan or probe dies, just close and re-open the scanner.

use a cloak if you have people in system you can still cloak
and that scan time is shocking
use covert op ship or awsome scaning time with a gravity mod and some skils

i use it but... how can it be related to my problem??

What scan time you get?
I'm using covert with 2 gravity mod and i got signal acquisition to level 3 (it is going up) so i don't think it is so bad (i can only improve signal acquisition of 2 levels) That is using a Scan probe launcher, not recon probe launcher of course.

I don't see that button, as you can see from my pictures. Where do you get it?

This will occur any time you change grids. So if you are moving while scanning and you cross over into another grid the window resets. The scan is still active and you will get a result when the timer finishes.
