People CHOSE to join a corp, why not put a timer in place, so they cant leave for maybe a week ? Wouldnt this solve alot of problems for warring corps, and still not be too hard on industrial corps.
After all, as stated in the top, people CHOSE to join a corp instead of npc corp, so there should be some kind of consequence i believe.
To counter some of the griefer whine, Yes, our corp is the "victim" of corp hopping "exploiters" and are growing tired of it. The alliance thingie was deemed an exploit, this is pretty much the same issue imho.

So when a corp goes to war and deduces they have a spy in their ranks, they can't get rid of them either? Or you get a jerk that is going to GET you into a wardec? Maybe even on purpose? Or you sign up and find out that they are a bunch of jerks that just want to pod you over and over? Leaving a corp isn't just for avoiding a wardec.
CCP has repeatedly said that warfare is between corps, even their EULA indicates that hounding specific players through multiple wardecs following them is considered harrassment. Though I agree that it sucks that an entire corp will jump, at the same time if you chose someone that intends to fight or has some pride in their corp you won't have this issue
When CCP asked why 37% of all experienced players* were in NPC corps, the overwhelming answer was "wardecs". CCP wants MORE players in PC corps; based on the above question I hardly doubt they will make any ruling that makes PC corps less attractive to the risk adverse. If anything I expect that they will be given more options.
*Note that they defined "experienced" as having more than 2 million SPs and had made multiple jumps on several different days during a week's timeframe; they are active avatars.

Not it isn't, people should be encouraged to get out in low sec space, but never forced to do so.

of course its a delicate balance, not to punish players too much, while getting the game mechanism to work. but i still think my point stands, if you CHOOSE to join a corp, you get the "risk" of not being able to leave for a specified time.
how to solve the other part of spies etc, well.. dno :) cant think of anything atm which wouldnt be exploitable as well. guess ceo's just have to be more carefull who they recruit ? and ppl have to be more carefull who they join ? after all, its your own choice, what you join or accept as recruit.

And here I was thinking that it was your choice to wardec someone that didn't want to fight

CCP has said repeatedly that they will not force people to fight, and so this idea contradicts their decree on this matter. Much like they won't force people out of the n00b corps after a reasonable period, so that the people that hide in them can be dealt with legally. ---------- |

I am afraid Somatic is correct. CCP will not do anything to jeopardize their noobs, eventually people will fight, most people will fight, but not right away. If they really avoiding a fight, well, such is life, go find someone who will.
So, you will just have to live with it.

Problem:
This can be used in a myriad of bad ways, spies, jerks ETC
Solution:
This is only implemented in times of war, to counter spies you could either be able to boot one and only one person out of your corp, or you can ban people from seeing text/speaking in your corp channel and viewing the corp memberlist
Problem solved?

i will agree to measures like this the instant CCP make it cost 50mil per week to dec someone corp to corp, and not one second before. right now, you can arbitrarily dec as many people as you like more or less, 2 mil is a drop in the ocean.
if the price were raised, people wouldn't dec new corps just to get the kicks of blowing them out of the water.
