This would help against two problems:
1) Limit damage in corp theft cases Currently, you have to place your private BPOs into a corp hangar to research or copy them in a corp POS. That allows a thief with sufficient rights to plunder not only the corp, but steal members' stuff as well after canceling the jobs. We had such a case recently in our corp, with a long time member in previously good standing. The motto "be careful whom you trust" does NOT help if trusted directors turn to thieves. At best you can try to limit access through the access rights management, but that is rather complex and un-fun even for those who understand it. Windows NT, for instance, had a more intuitive and understandable rights management 10 years ago
2) Prevent confusion from members working out of the same hangar Even if nobody wants to steal stuff, errors happen. We had such cases that were resolved amiably thanks to the honesty of the involved members, but it is still a hassle to ask around who took your BP by accident

Doing that would be the first step in CCP allowing us to sell our services publicly. :) ---------- |

I'm all for this.
Let the various POS owners choose to even sell slots publicly if they want. It would make maintaining POSs so much better in many ways. (You could actually offset the maintenance cost)

yeah you should be able to set 4 levels of access on a lab with different prices per hour:
Factory Manager Corp Alliance Public
This would also solve the issue of sharing labs among alliance members.
