Been having a look at FW on Sisi and have a couple of questions:-
There are control bunkers that indicate who holds control of a system. In the blog I read that you have to hold them for a period of time (sounds a bit like capture the flag in FPS games). I've been to a bunker with a group of others & on my own. Do you just orbit the Bunker to start the process of changing control ? There is no indication of anything happening ? At the very least there should be some sort of countdown or a balance indicator (like a tug of war).
Also, I was in a system where the bunker was controlled by the Galentee, but the station had an Amarr Militia Office in the system. You would think that the office would be that of the controlling faction ? There would be plenty of High Sec systems with offices in to remain constant. Seems strange that you control the system but allow a opposing faction to recruit in it.
Just some inital thoughts.

UPDATE:
So far I've gathered that you have to scan down complexes in the system around planets using the ship scanner. These will be filled with targets. When you destroy these you get Victory Points (VP). When you have enough of these the control of the bunker changes to your faction.
Something like this - I'm still putting it all together.
Still don't know where you can see how many VP you have or how many you need. Is it all done in the complexes - whats the point of the bunker - just to tell you there are complexes about ? When you have enough VP is the bunker able to be destroyed ?

From what I gathered: - you contest the sites that you find using the onboard scanner - once you have taken enough sites the bunker becomes vulnerable *after the next downtime* (I am not sure if there are necessarily enough sites in system to always warrant an immediate take-over - might also be that it can take severall days as you have to wait for new sites to respawn) - you take the bunker - occupancy changes

Is the finding of the sites with the on-board scanner chance-based? I've scanned many planets and not found any sites yet.

if this is the case, i can see a few issues developing throughout the day, as the timezones that are on prime time before downtime have the most chance of affecting control status. say a majority of Gallente are in America, and a majority of Caldari are in Australia, the Caldari would have the advantige of taking more of the later sites with less worry of defending before downtimes. This status change on down time is and has been a major turning point in various issues. In exploration, its the early times that get the best sites. the same with mining, the later you are on, the less ore that is left after the macro and mining swarms are done. There needs to be some change in the mechanics of downtime to compensate for the disparity.

Ok, some bulletpoint things about capture points and control bunkers:
* Capture points are found in combat zones. * The combat zones (areas of conflict between factions, at the borders of enemy regions) are low security systems in Devoid, The Bleak Lands, Black Rise, The Citadel, Essence, Verge Vendor, Placid, Heimatar and Metropolis. * Capture points are scannable in the Cosmic Anomaly class, using the on-board scanner. They are usually located near planets. * There are three sizes of capture points, you can tell them apart by their names ([Faction] Minor Something, [Faction] Something, [Faction] Major Something). * The mechanics are not really "capture the flag", more like "King of the Hill". You need to be in the prosimity of the control point to make the timer tick. * When you "win" a capture point, either as an attacker or as a defender, you win points. * When you have enough points, the bunker in the system becomes vulnerable. * Defenders will take away points from the attacker's score every time they "win" a control points (the defenders). * A downtime is not necessary for the bunker to become vulnerable. * Once the bunker's HP has been brought under a certain level, the system will become occupied by the attacking faction after the next downtime.

Thanks for that clarification. Is there anyway to see how many points you have and how many you need until a bunker is to become vulnerable ? I'm still scanning planets trying to find a Capture Point, so not seen results of that yet.

Is there any message that tells you when the bunker becomes attackable? Or do you just check from time to time?

is there any broadcast that the bunker is under attack, is it possible to remote repair the bunker to slow down the takeover? is it possible to repair the bunker after the bunker has been taken?

No to all three. When the bunker becomes vulnerable, the solar system tag (next to Occupancy:) will change from "Contested" to "Vulnerable". Bunker repairing is disabled and once the bunker is shot down to structure and occupancy is handed over to the attackers the bunker becomes invulnerable again.

What type of HP are we talking about?
