I am looking to make some isk to fund my PvP carrer =).
LvL 4 missions just don't cut it when it comes to isk/hour. So I am hoping to find an alliance to join where I am expected to help in fleetwarfare every now and then. But am mostly left alone to do my lvl 5 missions and DED complexes.
I just want to be able to access a portion of lowse/0.0 space where the alliance I am in are the major flyers in that space. This ofcourse to minimize the risks of getting ganked while in a carebaring lull.
Can anyone give me a pointer to what Alliance would be the best for me?
thanks |

As Bumble said, you're asking for all of the benefits of owning space, but with little to no responsibility for holding said space. Don't get your hopes up. |

The best thing you can do is pick a space you want to be in (lets say angels space) and then fly down to where you want to run missions and meet the people there. get to know the locals and join the corp thats aroundd

Soo..You are unable to read?
quote myself "So I am hoping to find an alliance to join where I am expected to help in fleetwarfare every now and then." Hence I will do my part but that part is not the main objective for me to move out to said area.
And even was that not the case I would still be helping in the overall picture since corptax/alliancetax goes straight to the warcoffert helping keeping the military footing that in turn keeps me safe.
RE: Xyrcaryn
thanks I will check GoonSwarm out.
I Have been on a 5-6 year Vacation from EVE. I left just at the Peak of the BoB dominance of the game (I never had to live through the fall of the BoB Empire luckily =) )
Anyways I was at the moment 2006 ish responsible for farming 1-2 of the 10/10 Serpentis plexes to get the faction items for our Capital fleet. Did it 3-4 times a day for a couple of months. Hence I paid my Isk making and and PvE fun with the 64% hardeners I supplied to the fleet. I also Joined the fleet every now and then since I do love PvP. I was the proud co-owner of one of our Titans (and still is, it is just not used atm since the owner of the account isnt playing =(...)
anyways I don't see that this kind of arrangement is more beneficial to me than to the alliance. It is just a matter of the terms a deal such as this is made.
Having that said. After amassing a small amount of isk I would certainly join in the PvP and overall alliance goal. I just want to get the feel of the game again before I throw myself in there again. PvP after all is the best part of the game...I never remember getting the shakes from running mission or complexes =).
On a last note. I am actually a bit supprised that there is not an alliance out there that uses the financiall force that the masses of carebears out there is. Think of the huge isk potential of having a dedicated corp setup for lvl 5 mission runners and DED complex runners to live the PvE life under passiv protection of the alliance that owns the space they play in. Then Jack that corps tax up to 25-50% and reap the finansiall award of someone elses work. |

Look into the details again.
A lot of things have changed in carebearing in null since 2006 - most notably the respawn mechanics of plexes and anoms out in null.
That's right - you are not asking for a place to make isk, you are asking for the right to compete for what is now a much more limited resource.
That, in brief, is why alliances don't do that. It's not 2006 any more.

Hehe - point taken my bad... I was not around in 2006
Nevertheless the whole nullsec PVE mechanic has been changed around a fair bit in the last year or so. |

If I dont remember totally incorrect, there was 4x 10/10 serpentis and 6x 6/10 blood/crimson....not that much to go around back then either.
Comparing to today where the anomalies that have a change to escallate are more or less everywhere...As far as I understand noone does any belt ratting anymore since the isk per min is better in the anomalies. For that to be true they have to be spawned pretty frequently. I am like I have said a Re-Noob atm but Everything I have heard and read from other PvE'ers Speaks towards that being a totally false premise by you. |

To the OP
Dont bother with the mean pvpers replying in your thread, just hang in the recruitment forum and look for a calm 0.0 corp, there is plenty of it , and while not in fleet, you will be able to do whatever you want.
There is at least as much carebears in 0.0 than in empire, if not more . At least you have the honesty to say that you want to pve. |

i like carebaring in 0.0, thats what I used to do all the time.
just be aware there are probably going to be times where you will have to get in fleet and fight. and that may be all the time if you are at war.
just be aware that it may happen that you cant do your carebaring for months at a time because of home defense fleets, CTAs and reds flying around in your space. |

I am a EvE Veteran of 6+ year (Beta through 2006). I do know how to avoid getting assrammed. Why It happens to you so often is probably becaus hidden deep down, you probably like it but are afraid to accept it openly.

Two things ..
1) Large alliances already take advantage of carebears as you are suggesting ... they are called renters, citizens, occasionally allies. Some of the rental alliances would likely include AAA Citizens, Red Citizens ... most of the large alliances have their associated organizations ... a glance at any of the 0.0 maps on DOTLAN would show you the sov holding alliances and their allies/renters. Corporations join these rental alliances and usually rent one specific system where they have rights. Sometimes there are agreements on defense of local space as well. You might want to look for a corporation to join in an alliance you are interested in ... not necessarily an alliance itself.
2) Also, although I may be wrong, I would consider steering clear of the invitations in this thread ... unless you have a "trusted" friend or previous associate in one of the corps involved ... there are folks out there who like to scam/gank folks looking for a corp. Your best bet is probably to check the in-game recruitment advertising and the recruitment chat channel ... the signal/noise ratio can sometimes be quite low but it might give you a better idea of who is recruitng. |
