Hi there,
I switched from minmatar space to the amarrians, and am currently building up faction there. I have social III and connections II which gives me about 1.0 standing right at the beginning...after some missions my standing with the corp (amar navy) is now about 1.2 effective standing (WITH the bonus from the skills)...here comes the problem: there are low quality lvl II agents that say "You need an effective faction, corp, or personal standing of at least 1.00 to use this agent"...they are under the tab of "available agents" but when i talk to them, they tell me I am to low for them....anyone has an idea why ?

Well i'm no mission runner and i might be wrong here but ... I think this is happening because you haven't done a single mission for this NPC corporation. So your standing with them is equal to your faction standing. Connections skills does not increase faction standing. Try running like one mission with level 1 agent from this same corporation. This will give you corporation standing which in turn your connections skill will bump to 1.2.

This usually happens when you just get enough standing to have the agent available. Simply log-off then back on and all agents that show available under the NPC corp info box will talk with you.

Go in your map and find the prefereces and choose agents. The location of the ones you can do will turn green on the map.

IIRC the minimum standing required to talk to an agent is specific to every agent. Check the show-info on the agents to be sure.

thanks mate.....THAT was the solution, never thought that a simple relog could fix that

For normal agents there is a very simple formula:
Required Standing = 2 x (Agent Level - 1) + (Agent Quality x .05)
