The last several months have seen the steady decline of a great corporation (STK) and a promising Alliance (Blackout). A lack of vision and poor leadership have seen the best FCs depart, resulting in a general decay of combat capability. Truly, it was sad to see a 35-ship conventional fleet cow the entire Blackout alliance in their own space during their prime time.
Lakhthaar, Alliance leader, posted a directive that Paragon Soul was to be evacuated by this Friday, fleeing without offering any resistance. Apparently, BlackoutÆs allies (Goonswarm and Red Alliance) had abandoned them to their fate, and the Blackout leadership was not prepared to defend their interests alone. As Lakhthaar said, ôRight now the mission is to secure our future by securing our assets.ö
The future Lakhthaar speaks of was stolen. Last week, the large majority of Blackout assets that were not under lockdown were seized. Multiple T1/T2 BPOs, high end moon minerals and the bulk of the Alliance capital fleet were lost. Because of the evacuation order, many PoSs for holding sovereignty were appropriated by the organization. Further, ships and items given to STK for transport to empire were taken. Total losses are conservatively estimated at 150 Billion isk.
Where Blackout goes from here is unknown to our organization and depends a great deal on STK. They promised the Alliance that plans would be made public by Friday, and the theft has not yet been officially announced. Now, the future is uncertain. STK has an old and proud tradition, and this is not the first major theft in its history. Will the corporation survive and overcome, or will it fail? Only time will tell.

That sucks. Say what you want about them, but they're a great group of lads over there.
I think just about every single person I ever knew in STK and black-out busted their backsides to make their corp, alliance and in some cases friends prosper.
They've suffered huge losses in the past and bounced back, but 150+ bill isn't a drop in the bucket for a smaller alliance like that.
Anyhow, I'd fly beside any of those guys any day of the week. (Unless somebody sets them red...lol)

Hey Ms. Alt, I call bull**** on the T1/T2 gear getting stolen. I have STK Scientific corp shares and nothing T2 has been unlocked in many many months. Who stole what exactly? Or is this more of "Cassiuss took all our moon mins from ASCN days" crap to use as another excuse for failing an 8th alliance.
I think someone is making excuses for not being able to defend a region they have had for almost a year, mostly realizing Goon protection just isn't there to save the day. STK has never been about risking it all and taking a chance, they know someone will take them in somewhere and would rather abandon a region to avoid a real fight.
Either way, STKs collapse has been imminent since they emoraged on their own forums about there own demise. It was just a matter of time before they started believing their own propaganda.

Goonswarm offered to sell the whole of Paragon Soul with all the moons and GQ2 station to Black-Out for 30B ISK, I think it was a couple of weeks ago.
Black-Out just doesn't have the numbers to defend a region, and with the steady loss of leadership and EU timezone players, STK is pretty weak for a corporation that was on the verge of having 3/4 motherships some time ago.

7/10 for effort but tbo bob being surprised at the tactic they excell at is a hard one to pitch better luck next time.

Anyways, I'm bored at work so I'll bite.
You see once STK Scientific was a once a proud and founding member of Curse Alliance, Xetic and ASCN. They once had leadership that logged on and cared about its corp. ItÆs a wonderfully old corp. of 5+ years with a rich history, 160+ T2 bpos. Much hard work and some great former pilots have been STK.
(Except Helen and Star wolf cause they nicked BPOs) :(
Currently do to absent and poor in experienced leadership they have made some very horrible decisions over the last 12 months. The legacy leadership continue to run STK from forums and havenÆt been active ingame for year+
Lakthar, now new CEO has inherited a mess and is trying to save the corp from imminent internal destruction.
Just to get you up to speed, once STK backstabbed M.pire alliance. Tomcatt who was CEO then bartered a deal with goons (sesfan and Gil Drillerson) so they could get positive standings and a home. Tomcatt was the one who fabricated that whole 42b for GBC rent crap and lied to his then alliance.
After they divorced M.pire, STK formed Black-out alliance, moved to Paragon Soul and purchased paragon from Goons. (Someone said it was like 30bilz) Anyways as Pet friend they were semi-active in the coalition but mostly Paragon Soul was used a staging area for Goon/RA logistics during the height of the coalitions "die in NOL campaign". This gave STK the ability to excel at isk whoring and industry.
This once strategic region allowed Goons in Delve. Now is currently being vacated by STK Scientific/Black-out and freighters and Carriers being deployed for Amarr Empire.
Tbh, I think we sent some roaming gangs for pvp fun and in turn they failcascade do to carebears spouting "Run for hills" rhetoric posts on internal forums.
They convinced themselves BoB was going to attack them, I even fakejoked about it a few times for ****s and giggles. In the end, they lacked the e-backbone of a pvp alliance and ran away like predicted.
p.s. Raeyn, at least you didnÆt loose a freighter in Jita this time.

I would like to point out the fact that black-out is also living in many of the stations KOS fought BOB and friends for only to have it taken away by -aaa-.
LetÆs see how many people RA and Goons can toss to the sharks with freakin laser beams!!
Wait my bad Goons and RA are just not going to help them. They would rather fight people in the north who were really never good a Fleet combat. Maybe they want to know what it feels like to win a fleet battle again. HAHAHAH
