Actually I am ok with the HP if only the resists had a tweak like T1 to T2 Recon ships.
Then again you cant even fix the BO role. Why? Everything a BO does is somehow focused around beign a jump bridge for covert ships. But: the game does not need a jump bridge for covert ships except for transports. Simply since no covert ship, not even the BOs make a difference due to lack of offense and defense. As such the whole concept failed and nothing can fix this concept.
Eg. make BO a jump bridge for any ship out there and you have a totally different concept. By then I would even understand the "problem" in lack of range...

Fix the scan resolution and I believe that most people would love them. They may not use them they way that ccp intended but hell, noone ever use the stuff the devs give us they way thet intend us to. But they will get used. Never happen though. CCP is coming up on the realization that better ships will make older ships obsolete and create an unbridgable gap between old and new players. So they will keep issuing a lot of "broke" ships that really dont compete with the ships already in game.

Tbh - removing the scan res penalty is one of the absolute minimums which need to be done by CCP. That one is a given for me. __

Black Ops need this:
3 weapon hardpoints with 100% dmg bonus
4 hi slots
Covert ops cloak
+2 slots (mid, low, or both)
6ly jump range
Jump to either a Star or a Covert Cyno
Ability to use Star Jump in all systems

As I have mentioned in post 51, there is no point wasting time over stats etc, since thats the test servers job. Also all black ops are a mish mash. You got a EW Black ops, a Droneship Black ops, a Glorified Hauler Black ops etc. There is no consintency between the black ops. Its just a bunch of random ships given a portal and jumpdrive and made weaker than the t1 rather than any though out role.
The Black ops role is currently obsolete so insted of saying it needs "X" or "Y", what you should be discussing is scrapping all notion of what we know of black ops and starting with a blank sheet of paper and developing a real world pvp role for it. --

Letting Black-ops use Co-ops cloaks and have the ability to warp cloaked wont make them any more overpowered than the cloaking recons.
In fact they will be less powerfull since the cruiser variants can break through bubble camps easily due to their speed and ahility especially when nano'd up.

I think they need to negate the scan res penalty. Its a big deal for battleships.

Scan rez fix, some more cargo and jump range, and being able to jump 'under' cynos jammers. There's not really much else to say. Other than possibly things that will never really be implemented, like being able to use Covert Ops Cloak, and getting them up to the firepower of their T1 counterparts and past.

-More cargospace or dedicated fuel bay - YES much needed.
-Possibility to use Covert Ops Cloak- YES, But if fitted with this mod limit the Jump range, and when not fitted increase the jump range. OR Have two ship versions.
-Increased jump range- YES but not to much or see above solution.
-More types of ship to jump with- YES and NO; yes for smaller ships T1 cruiser and below, NO Limit ship size.
-Longer portal time span and larger activation area- YES something nice to have but not a huge need.
-Ability to jump into jump-locked systems- YES This would give the ship an actual roll and make it more of a threat just having this ability alone.
-Make it at least strong as its T1 counterpart.- YES and YES these are T2 versions why not make them atleast just a strong.
-Remove or reduce the reactivation delay on cloaks- YES reduction because removed would make them overpowered.
-Remove or reduce scan resolution penalty- YES and NO IF a second class is made i.e. combat version then yes but NO if this is a single class of ship but a reduction is needed.
-Make them a long range ship so they could 'siege' POS infrastructure- NO would make dreads nearly useless.
-Other ships can fit an ability rig to use Covert Ops Jump bridge- NO
-Create two types of Black Ops, one with cloack and jump capability and one for combat/ew- YES this is the best fix for all and should be looked at closer.
-Covert Cyno generator can be activated while the Covert Ops cloak is engaged- YES would be great but if introduced then only for this class ONLY.
-Ships with Covert Ops cloak can jump through the Covert Jump Bridge with cloak activated- YES good idea in theroy.
-Being in proximity to a Black Ops ship doesn't uncloak you- NO
All ideas stated are some great starting points as Im sure there are so many more problem is the ship is useless with out some or all of these changes being added, currently the ship is NOT being used in any roll at all and that is where CCP did not think things through, other than we can make this ship add more skills keep players around longer make more money, and if this game continues down this road then we can look back at game issues like this and say "they should have listen to the player base". Fly safe out there Out.... TB
