Hello all,
I can't get into Eve after a long layoff.
I have downloaded the premium graphics client from the site.
When I double click on the desktop icon, I get a graphic with 'The Second Genesis' on it, but the server status always says 'down'. It says it's the 'live' server (and there is a 'dev' server as well, also down).
I have build number 934 but when I click on patch information in the bottom left, it says build 931.
When I check http://eve-offline.net/ it says the tranquility server is up and there are almost 30k people on it.
The error message I get says:
'Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong.'
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you.

Similar-ish problem! I have not left, and not reinstalled, but I am getting Server Not found messages from Tranq-client AND Sisi-Client, SO I fear somehow something has changed?
Not sure where to start poking, as I certainly still have internets access, and Eve has not been firewalled or anything.
Halp Eve Forums! you're my only hope!

If it's saying build 931 that's definitely an indication of something being wrong with your client.
Tranqulity is currently running build 53162, just to be sure you're grabbing them from the correct location I'll link you directly here:

Re-download the client using one of the above links (as appropriate for your machine) and let us know if you have any more problems. ____________________________ I break things.

Is the server down? - just tried to connect & im getting status 'unknown'. - Nothing in the downtime messages (as usual from CCP), no message on the client broadcasting the issue or expected resolution time (as usual from CCP)_
Frustrated.

Odd. Nope, 100% loss/Host unreachable But I know that Eve is able to reach Some connection, since it showed a new EON Ad' when I tried logging in minutes ago. How is that downloaded I wonder.
I can surf, all my other inter-web connected programs are working (messengers, mostly) and showing no compliants.. so, I am stumped.

I think they come from img.eve.is, like the forum images.
Okay a few things you could try:
ipconfig /flushdns clears out your DNS cache so should remove old dns entries and go to the DNS server to get the latest info (as you cant see the ip its not likely to be the problem but...
Try adding a route to your routing table and see if that helps:
open a command prompt and use:
route add 87.237.38.0 mask 255.255.255.0 x.x.x.x
replace x.x.x.x with your router gateway ip address.
And see if it connects now, as the table might for some reason be holding a fixed route through a different IP address.
Thirdly, have you switched router recently? It might have a built in firewall that shuts off certain ports/destinations. Might be worth shutting the firewall off to test if it interferes with the connection in some way.
Finally, have a chat with your ISP and see if they are blocking the TQ server for some reason.
Hopefully one of the above might work for you and you can get back in game soon -----------------------------
