I think that there should be a bonus to gang mods when they are used in smaller gangs.
This can be done by making the modules more effective when you are a squad commander, and are limiting your bonus to a smaller amount of people.
What this essentially does is gives a slight boost to the effectiveness of gang mods when somebody uses a small gang rather than a large fleet (but is capable of using a large fleet).
This works by the fleet command and wing command skills giving a slight (1% per lvl) bonus for using smaller gangs, when they have the skills to support a much larger gang.
Here is an example of the maximum effects of this...
And heres the spreadsheet (only did it for the 1 module, just as an example).

i like it. the smaller the gang the bigger the bonus.
this could be one step towards sensible nerfs to blob warfare.

or it could simply be the precursor of blobs made out of 15-30 "small gangs" in order to "maximize bonuses" -- this is my sig. |

leave bonuses alone i havent worked a few month to get my EOS just to have you cut it up
wasnt the drones enough for you people :'( and the mid slot loss

if you start nerfing the gang bonuses you effect the fleet bonuses with the warfare modules >_> my god get a clue

Offering larger bonuses for smaller fleets would have the same effect as a nerf, and would end up failing, because as another put it, everyone would split their fleets into the most efficient (highest bonus) units possible. Given that most everyone in a serious corp, much less alliance uses Vent or Teamspeak there isn't much of a loss in doing so.

It would have a very good use. Organizing blobs to counter smaller gangs would take more effort.
If you guys knew the advantage in time for a smaller gang to attack a 0.0 alliance home had, you wouldn't be saying it's a bad idea.
It's a good idea. If the blob has to sit around and sort who's got fleet skills, they lose out in some areas, the smaller gang could break through systems since the defense is taking time to form up and etc...
Organization like this needs to be advantageous in Eve combat, and is a boost to smaller gangs.
Very good idea.

This will help small specialized gangs, it acts as a force mutltipler, instead of just using more people, which means less blobbing.
