What's the best way to maximize your drone control range. ECM drone skill adds range, is there any other skill that does it?

Scout drone operation. Adds +5km range per level. After that, and the ECM drone skill, it's "Drone Link Augmentor I" for another +20km control range.

20 base, +25 from scout drone, +15 from EW drone for a 60km range,
+20 for each drone link augmenter +15 for the t1 rig, +20 for the t2 rig.
Personally, I think there are better uses for the rig slots than drone control range.

I use 2 drone control range rigs plus a sentry damage rig on a Sniper Domi.
This frees up a hislot and enables fitting 5 Dread 425mm rails and still have a 110km control range for the Warden II's, I have 3 Omni's and a sensor booster to complete the set, Cap or Armor rigs are not necessary as I take no damage at 100km from Mission rats and the Dom has enough buffer to run from any initial warp in aggro, I fit a medium repper. I use another Dom for missions with heavy warp in aggro, that one has 2 Sentry damage rigs and uses Garde II's.

Why do you need that kind of control range for sentries?

Because sentries can't shoot targets that are outside your control range.

One of my Domi tactics is to warp into a mission, turn and run to 100km (ie out of range of all rats) this means I can fit damage and range mods for the Sentries and 425mm rails at the expense of a tank. 100km is sufficient to take out all rats long before they get in range to do any damage.
If you remain at warp in you must fit an Uber tank and thus lose a lot of Dps and risk being overwhelmed and webbed/scrammed. I fit a faction Ab and use a warfare link alt to achieve over 600 ms from the Dom. I rarely enter armor with this setup so a medium repper is more than sufficient.
I have recently started using a kronos, with this I stay at warp in and rely on the Marauders high resists and Repping/tracking bonus. I still use a medium repper however, allowing 2 tracking comps and 3 Magstabs.
