let me just say that I don't really care if you don't fix it. But let me just tell you the facts. My corp has about 50 people full of noobs and 1st term subscribers. We were just trying to learn how to play the game as a group.
With out any reason or explantaion someone decided to War'Dec us. Do you know what happen to my 50 members corp. All the members are no longer playing EVE. This is a great game. But if you force people to PVP, espcially when they are only 3 weeks old. They will leave this game. So why do you care or why should CCP cares. I say do not thing. It is only 50 people.... F- them!!
Here is my recommendation to all players. Why aren't u being a Pirate!! Why dont you war'dec every noob corps in EMPIRE... Do u know how easy it is to drive someone away?? F-them noobs, if they don't like EVE, then get the hell out.
Here is my recommendationto fix war'dec with current time:
-make War shorter, 3 days, vice 7 days I think most noobs, will understand 3 days. But 7 Days, that is half of their 14 days trails period. trust me, they are not going to pay subscription fee in the middle of WAR. Have you ever do a statistic research on it. -make War'Dec is too cheap and too easy -Make concord response faster Anyway, i don't care if u don't fix it.... but don't whine, if you only have 20k members online. |

There is no "PK" in Eve. Only losing in PvP.

Some corps quit. Others rise up to the challenge, learn to fit cheap T1 PvP frigs and give the deccing corp a run for its money. In the proces making friends for the rest of their EVE career and having a lot of fun.
You said you had 50 players, if you get 20 online at the same time and group up, you can scare and even kill a lot of experienced players. This isn't WoW where a level 60 is untouchable by a group of level 5's.

QFT, you do know that a lot of older corps have noob ship/frig/destroyer/cruiser gangs because its so much fun, its so cheap, and if you kill something they look like a right noob.

Imho this can be an issue for new players. There are numerous corps deccing new ones for easy kills and ransom. I would support anything that prevents new corps from beeing decced.
And for those "adapt" - "eve is a cold harsh place" robots ... new subscribers are good for us. They just don't have to find out about that harsh cold place the very first few weeks. Dec them when they are 2 or 3 months old, Then you will maybe get something out of it ;)

Edited by: Taris Gedar on 31/05/2008 15:43:13 It's not only the system i guess but the thinking of the people.. Why doing real PVP in lowsec or 0.0 when you can get cheap and easy gangs in empire with 20+ buddies close by, when the noob is wasting your ass..
My alliance is getting war decced almost permantly and even i as a producer and miner try to get them in empire sometimes ..most Wartargets are just hiding in stn 23/7 when you turn up anything larger than a cruiser when they don't have at least 5-8 ppl in fleet.
Well, i just can say ..don't give up, try a bit of diplomacy or move to a different system/constellation or do it the swarm way - 30 rifter are bad ass against a battleship (and easy to replace)

And we should listen to a 2 day old alt apparently created solely to troll the forums because?
If you hadn't pretty much come in and said 'change eve to meet my playstyle' you might have even gotten some sympathy. Some corps are bored, spoiling for a fight and might be willing to take on your aggressors, perhaps even for free. However, your steadfast insistence that the game is broken is not endearing you to any benefactors. Most of them are wondering whether its worth calling their locater agent right now.
Come to lowsec. Your war targets won't dare follow you into that deathtrap.

Nobody made you leave the safety of the NPC corp.
If you join or create a player corp, you are opening yourself to wardecs. Harsh but that's the way it works.
Maybe a better solution would be to forbid trial players from joining/creating corps at all... force them to wet their feet a bit before allowing them to jump right into the heavy stuff.

that summerises the whole thing. eve is rapidly reaching its point where it will not continue growing player wise. we are now seeing old players get bored of the game, and the mechanics are driving many new players away.

People like this will ruin this game. When it is ruined and perhaps gone they will say clever things like "Internets spaceships and other MMOs is a harsh business. CCP did not have what it took to stay in the business. Anyone know another good internet space ships game I can Play?"
If new players leave the game in high enough numbers there will be no game. Genius

NPC corp + create your own chat channel. There you go never get dec'd again and keep your group of players.
If you want your own corp you have to accept the risks.

That might work. Char has to be 1 month old at least to create a corp.

that is the only problemi see. Wardeccedrrs can stay hidden most of time.
THere shoudl be some mechanics through wich the targets can program their own ops and harm the wardeccers. Hard thing is to figure out how.
Maybe very simple. IF there are target ships just outside a station and there are wardeccers ships doccked. The wardeccers have to pay 1 M isk per ship per minute they stay docked on that situation.
War decs are fine as long as the wardeccer is forced to fight! It started so it should face it. ------------------------------------------------- If brute force doesn't solve your problem... you are not using enough

There's your problem. You've made yourselves an easy target by being a corp full of noobs. A good corp will have a balance of young and old players, and if there are a few veterans in your corp you'll find yourselves a whole lot less likely to be decced.

Most of trial players do not stay in the game anyway. And those who stay are usually people psychically adapted to war and loses anyway. So its not really 50 lost potential players for many years, this is about 10 lost 2-3 month playing span players and maybe 1 or 2 peowple who maybe would become the evil verterans themselves in 2011.

If this game isn't for you, and I would say that judging by the number of whine posts you've made, then I suggest you pack up and leave. Leave your "stuff" for someone else to make good use of, and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

3 day war decs as a sub option would be a good idea. Otherwise join an alliance or dont recruit so fast and hard
