I don't know where else to post this so please move my post if it's in the wrong place.
1)I was away for a month, and I am wondering if anyone got elected yet. If yes, who is it and what is he/she about?
2)What's up with these new GTC changes? CCP says they'll be removing 30 day cards and replacing them with 60 day cards... Where did this "bright" idea came from? Was it the players that wanted this, or was it CCP that suddenly decided to do this? How is this a good thing? What about the people who can only play this game by buying 30 day cards with ISK every month? There is a huge difference between paying 150-160mil and 300-320mil or whatever these new cards will cost.
Will people still be trading cards for ISK at all, or this practice will be eliminated completely?

They said they were changing to a standard 60 day GTC to bring it in line with other MMORPG pricing systems - there was a Sticky on it somewhere.

Yeah that's what I thought. I knew it was just a matter of time till they'd do something like this. After all, why should they remain "unique" when they can charge REAL money for game time like everyone else, instead of letting people grind out the iskies and play for "free"? :( Heh, maybe I'm overreacting and they will keep the current system intact somehow. Am I being naive?
If anyone can find this sticky, that would be great. Thanx.

thats either equal or greater than the current cost of a 90day gtc 
and 90d gtc have been a much greater value than 30d for a while now. hmm 150mil for 30 days, or 350mil for 90d. think of the isk per day ratio!

Yep, and the new 60 day cards cost pretty much the same price as the 90 day gtc's do now. Also, you've got to take into account that there's no need to compete with 90 and 30 day gtc's (Presently, the maximum price you can sell a 30 for depends on the current price of a 90, and vice versa), you can't just pick up an easy 200mil now, you have to use a 60 day card (meaning less people overall will be selling them as people who can afford $15 may not be able to afford $40), which will drive the price up

Can I add to this question, will the 90 day still be honored and accepted after june 15? I looked for the answer but I didnt see anything that specifically states yes or no.

They said something about cards/codes already on the market still being valid "while supplies last". So if you've already bought one, it's still good.
