Well, I'm not sure I'd go that over the top. I mean I've been watching it since the beginning, and I certainly enjoyed the finale, but it wasn't THAT good.
Moving the island by turning a glowing stone wheel, though, was possibly stretching my suspension of disbelief a little too far... ------

I always say to my friends who laugh at me for playing games like EvE they say its lame, but its not as lame as watching TV shows like lost, prison break etc, which keep you in the dark and reveal the story in such a way that it makes the audience feel inteliengent since they feel they are working out the plot, when really its just being spoon fed into your minds.
At least in EvE I create my own story do my own activities.

There's nothing inheirently wrong with a one-way information flow. The majority of humanity's total creative output is a one-way flow (e.g. books, theater, painting, music, etc.). TV in general has a problem that it tends not to encourage higher brain functions while watching it, but I would not ascribe that problem to Lost or most other well-written SF series, nor is it something inherent with all one-way information mediums.
Also, I normally find arguments against a poster's grammar to be petty, and ultimately amount to an ad-hominem argument. However, run-on sentences tend to reflect unorganized thoughts, which directly negates the point you were trying to make.

Personally, I was going "Aaah, so THAT'S how it happened." I think that was the first ever Lost episode which answered more questions than it posed.

yes, the episode explained a lot, like turning cogs to open wormholes and allow a whole island to just disappear

It explained who was in the coffin. It explained how Ben turned up wearing a cold-weather jacket with an arm injury in the desert It explained why the Oceanic 6 were lying It explained how they got off the island
That's already 4 versus your 2

Last season's was better, because everyone said, WTF!
This one answered a lot of questions, which was a nice change, and makes me want more. I like how it picked up right after the 3rd finale since most of the rest of the season ignored it entirely -- nothing during 4 happens before the 3 finale, nasty.
But I think the writers of Lost are big fans of Chris Claremont's run on X-Men.

I still love it. Ben is a great character and hard as nails.
At the end of the day it's a magic island. How it "works" exactly is besides the point, it's not real, the writers can give us any reason they like.
It's the story of the people affected by the island thats fun for me.

I stopped to watch it long time ago. I simply hate constant cliffhangers and plot U-turns. If I decide to "waste" my life on something, I'll rather pick something with proper ending, instead of being non stop pulled by story writers. So if Lost show ever ends I'll collect all unwatched episodes and do marathon :)
Damn you Lost damn you BSG, damn you Heroes, damn all cliff hanging, never ending, U-turnish shows !

Me too. I gave up at the start of season 4 with the view to watch them all one after the other because it was too big a pain in the ass to try and keep up with and remember over the course of a week.

So; the island is an ancient spaceship, with a fully functional warp drive.
The time dilation is caused by the ships shield, which works by slowing things down.
The security system is... well, a security system.
There are systems in place to help it stay hidden, even while carrying a substantial land mass on its back. A cloak of some type?
Methinks this about sums it up, but we'll have to wait and see...
Who, for example, is Richard? And what is his purpose, some sort of recruitment specialist for a...? (I'll stop before I get carried away)
