Do you have AWU5, and what level projectile rigging? If you don't wish to drop your 425's you can try dropping the heavy missles, or downgrading to assault missle launchers? (That might give you enough grid I don't know.)

Edit What about 2 projectile rigs and 1 powergrid rig?
I do have AWU V, but my projectile rigging is only I. I did think of dropping to assault launchers, it only drops the dps by about 15. I'll be using it for several things including but not limited to dropping in on mission runners with equivilent hardeners in which case the armor reps will be best. However it will also be used in fleets at which time plates would be better. I'm not really sure on what to do.
Also the damage rigs I want to fit which would raise it to 650+ dps only cost about 3 mil a piece. So it's not like a huge cost of the other rigs suggested. It bearly costs me anything to get a decent bonus. they use 200 calibration each so no room for a PG rig, on top of the extra cost.
One of my primary goals a hurricane is DPS. If I want to nano I can always take out my huginn or broadsword. The Hurricane is meant to be more of a disposable powerhouse. Nanos and fighting in falloff just sacrifices it's biggest advantage, damage. _______________

If you're going to be fighting at 3km, you should be using blasters.

well aside from the fact that i'm Minmitar/caldari specced if I wanted to fly a nanoship I would grab my huginn. This ship is supposed to fill a different role for when I need power rather then speed. Anyways look at the damage output of that ship. It takes a lot of skills, but if you have them a Blaster Brutix won't nessissarilly outclass an AC cane. _______________

It will at pure 3km damage - which is the role that you're trying to fill. I dunno - doesn't seem like that big of a win to me.
Then again, I'm the guy that wants to take down mission runners in a pair of neut fit Basilisks...

This. Also skill up on gunnery / drones, use a buffered gank setup with 3 Gyros and you'll realize why it's called Hurricane

3 gyro Cane with 2xHAMs(and 2x5% hardwires) does 862 DPS with Hail.. so one can expect around 830-850 DPS from a decent pilot. And that's with 1600 RT plate and EANM+DC for HP buffer.
All out gank fit Brutix does 932 dps, 900-920 from a less than maxed pilot. And has HP of a cruiser. And has less optimal damage type spread for fighting T1. For fighting T2 it has no damage type flexibility of a Cane(sure, it'll do quite a bit less raw DPS with EMP/PP loaded, but good luck outdamaging a Cane in the Brutix vs T2 anything except Minmatar).
Let's not even mention that Cane can drop one of the HAMs for a gangmod, heh.
In the end, Cane can do nearly as much raw DPS as Brutix, often outdoing it in reality, while having a lot of other advantages.

I've been playing around with EFT and the best DPS I get is 750 with 3x Gyro II, 6x425 ACII (with Hail), 2xHeay Launcher II and 2xProj Collision Rigs and 5xHobgoblin II's. (assuming all level V skills)
How can u guys get such high DPS?

Well for starters the increasing stacking penelties mean a RoF/Damage rig combo is better then 2 of each. Then of course you can up your damage 15% by overloading your guns. Even if it's only temporary. What I'm more curious about is how you fit that well PG wise.
Anyways my calculations peak the DPS at about 840 or without nitpicking some of the small skills. Don't forget there's more to EVE then being an EFT warrior. _______________

Drop to 220s.
Think about it. If you have to drop the HAMs to fit 220s, then you're losing out globally. If you cannot use gun rigs, then you're losing out. Furthermore, the 220s give you beter versatility vs small stuff and positively impact on hit quality thanks to tracking. And you get to fit HAMs and three gun rigs on the thing (2 falloffs, 1 rof).
Btw - even if you don't want to fight in falloff, tell me how it goes being in optimal all the time. Particularly vs people not wanting you to be at your optimal range or when approaching/maneuvering.

From what I've seen LSE Gank is pretty much win if your flying gang. Solo, the lack of a web is a bit limiting, meaning other ships can just get back to the gate.
Also it's possible to do a remote gang of shield tanking hurricanes with other support though.
6x 425/220 depending 1x heavy assault large 'atonement'
2x LSE medium cap booster mwd
3x gyro overdrive inertia damage control
3x shield resist rigs
5x hornet-ECM
Now since you are repping and not just using a buffer you can drop the 2nd LSE to fit a point/web.
ECM drones coupled with a decent rep tank and resists as well as speed and gank is hard to beat. Hardest part is probably staying in range of each other so best is probably to have 1 guy approach and rest approach the leader w/ web. -------------------------------------------- ôHe who must expend his life to prolong life cannot enjoy it, and he who is still seeking for his life does not have it and can as little enjoy it" |

Even after you said you werent enterested in dropping to 220's.. people still sudjest them *laughs*
Anyway.. my only 2 cents has already been said a few times.. Drop the Heavy launchers for a pair of Heavy assault launchers.
As a side note.... i know my hurricane can tank half a lv 4 mission by itself with no remote repping and survive withough haveing to warp away AND kill all the frigs/cruisers and yes.. even BS's that were shooting at it. And asside from a tech 2 Damage controle... everything im useing is tech 1 stuff =D.. so i realy like my Hurricane hehe. --------------------------------------------- "Only two great species on this planet take part in massive, organized warfare.
