what ive done on my alt in the hulk is use 3 strips on 3 different ores once my cap has regened back to enough to use 3 strips, i turn the off.
You will get the ore you have mined in the period if the rock doesnt pop, but save alot of time if the rock only had like 300 veld left.

I suggest calculating the amount of ore you can mine in 15 seconds using one strip miner. Write that information on a piece of paper along with the amount you can mine in 30 seconds, 45 seconds, etc. up to 180 seconds. Armed with this information and a watch with a seconds hand, you'll know roughly when the roid will pop. ---------------- Mutatis Mutandis |

having mined for a while now, I know most of the low-end ore quantities my strip miners take in three mins, my idea would be to have a 3:00 timer showing on the actual miner icon or nearby on-screen, this way you know exactly when to switch off and not cause damage to a crystal for a few ore that may be left on a roid.

Wouldn't the 'Time expired' field let you know when three minutes have passed? Once it hits 180 seconds you'll know they will cycle again, you could pause them then to see how much is left, you can also tell if a roid will have enough ore in it for more then 180 seconds by looking at 'Time remaining' ------------------------
