from what I saw of the Sisi client its still posible to get the information. After all the client still updates the "whos in local chat" list all the time. So unless they intend to encrypt that information or make it so that it only updates when someone actualy talks then someone will be able to code a alarm.

Yes, this change blocks BACON, because ScatterEvent no longer provides arguments.
Other methods of getting the same information whilst violating the EULA are, of course, unaffected.

BoB, Goons & whatnot had been using stuff like this for ages, BACON was the reason all of them are now nerfed. Can only be thankful of the creators for that.
I keep bacon and headshot macro on my quick launch taskbar.

Hopefully CCP will also obsfucate the cache folder, as it doesn't take a genius to pont there intead of logserver (cache stores its files in binary versions of the logserver).

I suspect that there will be a workaround for this soon. I hate BACON, and you know that the big alliances like BOB, etc were probably using stuff like this for ages.
Nothing sucks more than trying to run down a farmer in your space and be unable to do a damn thing about it because of "beep" CTRL+Q

Someone determined to have an app like this can always manage, so long as local exists and is passed to the client machine. Programs can even recognize when part of the screen changes by watching that particular spot by tapping into what the video card is sending.

If it continues to be an issue, then ccp should do what bizzard did and ban the use of 3rd party applications that interact with their client. Would remove macros too.
